I took my car for a motor repair and **** the owner replace the motor in my car with a (new) used motor. Not even a full two months after replacing the motor in the car my car started viciously shaking every time I drove and my engine would make loud noises upon starting. I then returned the car back to him for repair because I was told my motor has a warranty and i assumed I wouldnt have to pay since it seemed the issue was the motor. I had my vehicle towed to the shop and then called **** and he said he would look at the car and let me know whats wrong and call me back. I then received a call the next day with him explaining my motor had a misfire and he replaced the coil and spark plugs and I now owe $290. I was initially upset because he told me hed be calling me before beginning any repairs so I can approve and on top of that I didnt understand why there was a cost & why he wouldnt get my approval before backing me into a corner to force payment. He explained that he resolved the issue and I went to pick it up and pay and then he stated that because Im paying with card it would actually be $310 before I could even say nvm Ill go get cash he had already swiped my card so I ended up leaving and taking my car just to see later I was charged $320 instead. About 2-3 days after the repair my car has trouble starting now and sounds worse then when I first brought it to him. I also popped my hood to check my oil levels to see that my oil stick is now also gone. I contacted **** and he denied any wrongdoing and that the oil stick was in the car when he finished repair and that any issue happening now isnt related to the repair he did. I attempted to request a refund but he refused stating he resolved the misfire. I no longer want to have him touch my car and I just want my $320 back so I can pay for repairs elsewhere

Dear to Whom It May **************** am writing to regarding the compliant with the assigned ID ********. The used engine has been installed to customers vehicle. Please note that a used engine comes as is. The customer came back after 2 months with the misfire and two cylinders. The diagnosis was the misfire and to replace all spark plugs and two coils. Also, those parts replaced do not include a warranty. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: the warranty was on the motor which he replaced and stated there was a one year warranty. The ***** misfired causing other parts on the ***** to need to be replaced which shouldve been covered by the warranty. But after the misfire I still had problems with the car and had to take it to another mechanic who stated after completing the repair and fixing the issue **** never resolved, that I dont like to bad mouth other mechanics, but it is obvious whoever worked on this car did a rushed and careless job because there were loose and missing screws within and around the motor. The other mechanic also stated that **** or whoever worked on my vehicle previously had tried to put an oil dipstick into the engine that did not fit your car and it fell in and they left it there. Not only did **** do a terrible repair on my car and didnt resolve my issue, he also stole the oil dipstick from my motor and attempted to put in one that did not fit and was not originally in my vehicle. And instead of resolving that before returning the vehicle to me he instead carelessly left it inside the hole which then had to be pried out by the other mechanic. I will not be satisfied with anything other than a refund at this point because Ive had several issues with **** and his shop in the past and this would be the SECOND time I took my car to him for repair and parts of my vehicle were left missing after.

    Regards,
