The moving company, "Moving in & out Relocation, LLC", ****** # *******, physical address *************************************************************, has been "chosen" by the broker, namely North America Moving Experts, LLC, DOT # *******, to move me from ******, ** to ****************, **. When they arrived at my home address, they immediately requested extra $600 for stairs (despite it was clearly stated in initial quote). In the middle of the loading they stopped and said the "volume" is too big and I have to pay $1,000 more. They packed everything (I paid for "white gloves service", including disassembly of IKEA queen size bed ($1,100). Upon delivery the following happened:1. My tool box with instruments (approx. $800 value) has been lost (stolen);2. All fixtures for the bed were lost so there is no way to re-assemble it;3. At least 4 pieces of furniture broken beyond repairs;4. 3 glass frames of pictures broken;5. At least half of the boxes (approx. 20) were damaged with damage to the content. The list can be longer... In addition, the delivery people (2 of them) looked clearly under age...

I'd like to file a complaint against North ******** Moving (DOT No.070851) as broker and Moving In and Out (DOT3718018) as trucking company for my move from *** to *********, **. North American estimated the move at $2109 upon booking and promised delivery in 5-7 days but said it's often before 3-5 days. On 9/11, 3 days before my move North American called and encouraged me to increase the itemization and I agreed to $2788. I did not know nor was it explained to me that another company would actually be moving my belongings. HAD I KNOWN THAT THEY WERE OUTSOURCING THE MOVE TO A COMPANY WITH A HORRIBLE REPUTATION I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOOKED THIS MOVE. Ultimately, Move In and Out picked up my belongings and CHARGED ME $4927 AND TOLD ME MY BELONGINGS WOULD BE DELIVERED IN 3-4 BUSINESS DAYS. I was told by the driver that the delivery date on the documents was the date I would receive my belongings. Im not told that is the first possible delivery date. This was done to mislead me. I was upset, overwhelmed and under pressure to move out. Unfortunately have a lawyer handy to review the documents. I did not want to book the move but I had to get out of my apartment. MY MOVE STILL HAS NOT BEEN DELIVERED and the company continuously lies about when it will be delivered and stopped taking my calls. I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOOKED THIS MOVE IF I KNEW IT WOULD COST $4927 AND TAKES WEEKS AND WEEKS TO BE DELIVERED. Both North American and Move In and Out have lied to me repeatedly. North American and Moving In and Out have committed MOVING FRAUD with their egregious lies and are now holding my belongings hostage. I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of the move and the expenses I incurred as a result of not having my belongings for the past three weeks.
