On January 5th around 2:30 pm, I went to checkout a small cart of items at the self check out for cash lane along with my partner. I had planned to purchase two photo albums, a book, a bowl, a vase, and a sweater. An employee came to scan my items for me. He told me that one photo album I wanted to purchase had an incorrect sticker on it, which took the price from $1.50 to $7. I asked if he could remove this from the order, as this was more money than the item was worth to me. He continued scanning my items and placing into my personal bag until security came to the booth. Security began rummaging through my personal bag and when I asked what he was doing, he began to scream at me. He claimed my photo album stickers were taken off another item and placed over the original to lower the price. These stickers were directly placed over the original, I had no way of knowing something was underneath He also claimed the vase and book, which had only a single sticker on them, were also stolen because they were not fully on. He screamed at my partner and I that we could pay the extra money for the items or leave with nothing. I calmly told him this is how the items were when I grabbed them off the shelf, and my partner affirmed that any cameras would prove such. He began to yell at us that the store didnt do it so we must have.I asked the security how much the difference in price would be, as I only selected these items because they were cheaper. He then yelled that I need to leave with nothing. This experience was beyond humiliating and dehumanizing. This business is managed by security that accuse and harass patrons. They tried to scam me into purchasing stuff for 3x the price. These policies are predatory and cannot continue. I would like the company to take action against the security agent that harassed my partner and I, as well as other patrons. Additionally, these predatory practices from the store to force purchases should not be allowed.Initial Complaint

On June 18 I went to shop at Unique Thrift Store. As I walked in I was stopped to leave my bag that I walked in with. It was a small cloth bag to use for when I would purshase something. It was empty. I explained that I need it if I'm buying because they don't provide any. They don't sell any. I'm trying to reason with the worker at the entrance explaining that I need the bag. She insisted that I had to leave it. I saw at that moment many walking with their bags in front of me. All had bags of any size with them. This made me think that she was thinking I'm there to shoplift. I walked in after I folded the bag and put it in my pocket. The manager came after and told me to leave the store. I told him that they implied that I was there to shoplift and I asked him is that why he was kicking me out. He told me he didn't like what I said to the employee and asked me to leave again. I have been going to that store since it opened many years ago. I'm there at the very least 4 times a month. I've donated many times there. I have been to every store in **. They don't have policy to leave bags. This store doesn't have that policy posted outside. It's not clear anywhere. I've left a bag if I have merchandise from another store. I've been a few times near the store and I can't walk in. It's very humiliating to be suspected of shoplifting. I did for many years Flea market and I see costumers that I've sold with. I hope that no one else will experience this. I tried to complaine directly to them but they don't have anywhere that I could do it . I had a their reward card from day 1. They still message and email me at least twice a week their special offers. Don't think I can ever go backInitial Complaint

*THIS WAS TYPED WITH VOICE MEMO, PLEASE EXCUSE ANY ******* was checking out and going to leave the store when an employee pulled me to the side and started to go through all of my bags they unwrapped everything and proceeded to put things aside in a separate cart. The bald manager, whose name I think is **** came over to me and said, put his camera in my face, took a photo of me and said come to the office right now, so that we can discuss this or something along the lines of that I said, what is there to discuss I did nothing wrong, and he shouted at me and said we can share your business out and embarrass you in front of everyone or we can go to the office Ive course was upset and raise my voice and said I didnt do anything. What are you accusing me of and we went into the office where there were many male managers sitting around and he said that there was a cart full of items with tickets that were switched, and that I needed to sign a paper that banned me for three months per cop, company policy, or he would call the cops and have me arrested The items he was claiming had switch tickets were mostly glassware where they were vases that were round and obviously a sticker isnt going to fit flat onto it. One was a little ceramic basket that I told him I pulled the tag off so that I could scan it and then I put it right back on. One was a suede jacket that had a tag fixed to it with no obvious signs of rips, or that it had been tampered with and one was a cat clock that had to price tags on it one for a lower amount stuck to the front one for a higher amount stuck on the side. Another was a ceramic container that was wrapped in tape to keep it closed, and then the tag was on top of the tape. The tape was not sticking to the bottom of the jar so they thought it was replaced, but the sticker had been placed on top of the tape. I believe that none of those items actually had switched tickets and just because they werent laying flat or they had pulled up a bit. They were claiming that they were switched also because they were maybe lower prices than what they would have price them for or would have wanted to price them for they were claiming they were switch tickets when in reality I think the people in the back just priced them like that. I told him that I didnt do this. There was a mistake. Can he watch the cameras? I literally took everything from the shelves and the rocks and put it directly into my cart. I didnt switch tickets. How would I know if tickets were switched and he was interrupting me. He wouldnt listen to me. He took a tone with me and said that I signed this or he would call the cops and have me arrested . There were many employees around listening and seeing this whole thing happen no one was saying anything justice manager and then I was forced to sign this paper. I was very flustered and obviously he was telling me I was gonna be arrested, so I signed the paper I didnt read it. I just signed it and then I walked out and they said that the cart full of items I know how to pay an adjusted price on based on whatever price they were going to tell me they cost and I said no I dont wanna do that. Youre robbing me now these were the tickets on the items you can refund me them because youre not gonna make up random prices and having to pay for them which is what they wanted me to do.A female manager, then walked over and said that they werent gonna have me pay for everything in the car just two items and that I should disregard everything that happened with the mail manager. They were not going to band me and that she didnt say she was sorry for what happened, but you could tell that she was trying to make up for the fact that this man acted the way that he did, and accuse me of stealing. I paid the adjusted price on the items because I was forced to the difference was $13. At which point, I then went over to the counter, where they had taken all of my stuff out of bags initially, and I had to spend time to **********. This was probably 30 minutes after he initially pulled me to the side. I was obviously very upset and frustrated. I want to walk out of the store and the buzzer went off so they had to go through my bags again to find this buzzer that they missed and the female manager walked over to me before I left and she said she asked me if I was OK and she asked me if I was going to come back to the store and I told her honestly I dont know if I will that that manager was incredibly rude and inappropriate and she asked me to please come back.A sales associate help me to my car with the bags, and he also apologized for what happened. It is clear based on ****** reviews that this is a pattern of behavior and happens regularly at this store. I believe they are accusing innocent customers of switching tickets so that they can threaten and extort them for more money.Initial Complaint

I ordered an item from Myunique thrift in **************. When I ordered, I got a msg it did not process,try again. I tried againgot the same msg. Checked my bank account. Both orders of $73.96 ea had been taken from my account. The bank gave me a phone number. It is no longer working. I looked up the address on a mapits just a residential unit. I have emailed them. No response.
