    12/12/2023. I was a the business to purchase new hearing aids. Audiologist wanted to see my current hearing aids. He turned them off (WHICH I NEVER DO) and they would not turn back on. He claimed it was not his problem, BUT THEY WORKED FINE BEFORE HE TURNED THEM OFF. He claims the problem is the hearing aids are old. BUT THEY WORKED FINE WHEN I CAME INTO THE STORE.

    In response, the client was told to go home and put the old aids (not purchased through us) in the charger to turn them on again. Client got up and left our office before we could talk to anyone from the hearing aid manufacturer about this. We were on hold with the company, and when we finally talked to someone, they concurred that they would "turn on" again after placed in the charger. They could not give me any information on the aids without a serial number, of which the customer has to supply us. Standard procedure while testing for new aids is to compare with the old. Starting them up to make sure they are reset is the usual. Since we did not hear back from client, it was assumed they started up ok.
