On September 12, 2024 my son, ********* ****** had ACL surgery at Jefferson Surgery center. The receptionist stated that my co pay that wasnt covered by insurance would be $1200. I paid $800 on that day and arranged for $200 to be taken off my card for next two months (October and November). The 2nd week in December i received a text stating that my bill wasnt paid. i ignored because i thought it was a scam. The next day im getting calls from unfamiliar number so i answer and its Jefferson saying that they hadnt took the money out , that there must have been a mixup on their system because the balance HAD NOT been paid. She asked if i could make a payment on the bill so i paid them $200 over the phone right away. When i got home that night, i checked my bank statement and saw that Jefferson did take their $200 out on October 15th and November 15th, which was arranged back in September on the day of the surgery by *********, the surgery receptionist that day. I called billing **** the next day and sent them copies of my bank statement explaining the situation. The person i spoke to said they would get it "Escalated" right away and someone would reach out. I called again and spoke to ********* and she apologized for the confusion and said she would look into it also. Here we are 2 weeks later and im still getting text on my phone saying i owe $400 again. I called numerous phone numbers after getting the run around from **** to ****, passing me around and finally reach billing ****. NOW, after 4 months, theres a "NOTE" that the agent says they put on my account about a $200 Charge all of a sudden that she cant tell me what its for! I asked for a supervisor and was put on hold and then Transfered to an answering machine that i left message for a call back. NOTHING. Feel like i'm being SCAMMED OUT OF $200.
