    On 10/11/2023 $28.19 we paid for an order of 1 pound coleslaw and 1 1/4 pound corned beef placed at the counter. Pyt. was by c/c at 9:28AM. Husband brought items home & placed them in refrigerator.While getting the items ready to eat at dinner time, I discovered the 1 lb. coleslaw weighed ONLY 10 3/4 oz. INCLUDING the container. Also noted that 1/4 lb. corned beef was missing (they usually pack it separately as 1 lb & 1/4 lb.). Weighed the pack just to make sure & it was ONLY 1 lb 3/8 oz.Called the shop *************) at 5:30 PM to report the problems & ask for credit back to my c/c. Was told by "*****" that only the mgr. (*****) could take care of ******** was in a meeting & would call me back. Waited almost an hour, but NO call back. Called them back, asked for "*****" & was put on hold for about 6 minutes. "*****" came on line & told me the owner had been in & said I could come back in & they would "give" me 1 lb. of ********. Told "*****" that was not possible because of round-trip drive (45 ******** ************ with her she'd made no mention of how I'd be compensated for 1/4 lb. of missing, but paid for, corned beef. Told her my *********** expected our c/c to be credited for 1/4 lb. corned beef & the underweight (1/2) pound of coleslaw. She said she couldn't do that & only the owner could OK it because they only allow "in store credit". I told her that is NOT correct as we had a previous issue with 1 lb. of the 1 1/4 lb. of corned beef we ordered being left out of our bag. As soon as I realized that error, I called the store & was IMMEDIATELY given the credit on my c/c. ***** said she'd have to talk to the owner & call me back. She hung up before I could make sure she had my phone #. After all, she hadn't called me back earlier as promised by "*****". Oh - "*****" informed me that they sell coleslaw by "the container" & don't weigh it. I informed her I ordered it BY WEIGHT & paid the **** they had listed as "per pound" on the sign in the store.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, provided that I am not given the run-around when I contact the business later today or tomorrow with my credit card info. My expectation is that whichever employee answers the phone that that employee will process the credit without my having to call back again or be put on hold. That is, I expect the owner to leave some notice with the cashier that the credit should be processed when I provide the information.
