Jackson Hewitt ********************* with ************** advertising tax refund advance loan in increments of $100, $300, $500 and $1000- based off the coming years tax refund. They claim to NOT run a credit check, they solely base your loan amount off of incoming tax refund and if you owe any government or state entities (student loans, child support etc). I applied, followed and met all criteria yet only received $100. No one is of any help, they cant answer my questions, my personal info is floating out there. I clearly was eligible for the $1000 advancement.

***************************** had an appointment with us on 12/11/2023 at 4;30 pm. She applied for the Early refund advance which is a loan secured by and paid back with your tax refund and is offered by republic bank. and trust *** to eligible taxpayers Through Jackson Hewitt ************ Early loan amounts are determined by your expected refund less authorized fees and underwriting using last Paystub information. If approved for an era, a finance charge will apply. loan amounts available are $100, $300 $500 and $1000. Early refund advance is subject to underwriting and approval. Jackson Hewitt *********** does not have any say in the amount loaned to the clients. *************** has all signed and received copies of all documents related to all banking information as required by law. We gave **************** the customer service phone provided by ************* regarding customer service issues. We feel really bad that the bank only loaned her $100 but there was nothing we could do about it. I also couldn't answer the question of why they only loaned her $100. The only resolution she is willing to have is for ************* to loan her $1000 and that is completely out of my control. At no time was or is *************** personal info floating out anywhere. All the information she provided was scanned into our system and given back to client.  Thank you for your time

    Business Response

I provided the client with the phone number for ************* (including refund advance inquires) **************. I called the number myself and it requires the clients personal information to be connected to a representative. As I stated before **************** was aware the loan amount was between $100-$1000 and we wouldn't know how much the underwriters were going to approve her for if any money at all. I was very sympathetic with **************** with her disappointment with the bank's loan amount. She signed and left with all paperwork required to be signed by her for the loan. In this paperwork it explains everything that was stated to her in office as we are required to do by the banking regulations. ******************** resolution is to receive a $1000 loan. I don't have the authority to resolve this the way she wants. Unfortunately, the bank only loaned her $100 and the bank does NOT tell us why (As it is her personal information the underwriter uses to determine IF and or the dollar amount their willing to lend her). Thank You *********************
