    We verbally contracted with *********************** of Old English Paving for driveway paving project in August 2023. The job was completed by 2 gentleman who identified themselves as his sons. On the day of completion, one son asked us for payment on the spot. In good faith we did, and requested a proper receipt be sent or delivered to us- which he said would be sent/dropped off within the week. He asked for 2-checks, one for $8000 made out to ******************; the other $4000 made out to ***********************. We did not receive receipt; called several times; wrote several letters, including a certified letter on 1/18/24 again requesting a receipt for our $12,000 driveway paving for home capital improvement. We are requesting a proper Business Receipt for service be provided to us.

    *********, as you were the party at BBB on the above referenced complaint I would like your assistance. The file indicates we (the customer) remain unsatisfied. This is not the case. 

    The contractor came to our home, apologized for the misunderstanding and provided us with the receipt for the job we had been looking for. We would greatly appreciate it if you would be kind enough to update the communication on this complaint to indicate we are satisfied?

    We also want to thank the Better Business Bureau as it was your posting of our open issue that found it's way to the contractor, ******************, and led to its resolution.
