    I had a problem with my water softener that I have had for years, and service man came and charged $200 for the service call plus what it cost to fix the unit. It seems that was in September. I marked off where the salt was. December 1. I discovered that it had not been working since the repair. I called the company to ask them to send somebody to check it out and they wanted to charge me another service fee. I also have a reverse osmosis system with the same company and at the time they change the filter. The service call for everything came to just under $500. I do not feel it was fair for them to charge me another service call to come and check out why their repair hadnt worked in the first place.
