    I recently had the pleasure of using Long Lane Home Services to fix my oven, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, their professionalism and expertise were evident and they truly knew what parts had to be ordered. Within one week, they were at my home, ordered that parts and was back in my to install it less then a week. They really exceeded my expectations in every aspect, from customer service to technical expertise. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of appliance repairs.

    Only needed a heating element replaced. Cost to come out was $129, part cost $87, labor fee to install, an additional $110. None of this was prorated. It took the service tech only 15 minutes to diagnose and replace part. None of the $129 fee went towards the labor. Long Lane is no more than 4 miles from my house. Total bill just to replace heating elements was $349. Totally unreasonable. No negotiations. This is a rip off. Even car dealers don't overcharge like this.

    We are very upfront,,,always,,,when taking a new service call,,,,we explain clearly, the charges. In this case as always we explained the cost of the service call plus parts and labor. When in the home the charges were clearly stated. The customer said to do the job. When finished ,,,the customer wanted to ccv negotiate pricing. We would never mislead any customer,,,nor did we do it here. We did offer to remove the parts and refund,,,but the customer refused.

    Once they come out to your home, and do a diagnosis, you are on the hook for the $129 fee to come out to your place, plus a flat rate of $110 for diagnosis, whether it is 10 minutes or less. At that point, they have you for $239 and then you have the decision to pay all of that without installing their part, or the $239 fee plus part cost to install it. They know they have you at that point and will tell you you don't have to have the part installed, so you have wasted $239. Total cost of $349 is outrageous and they know they have you. They say they make clear their costs up front but you don't know until you are into $239 when they are ready to put the part in. Again, the charge for them to drive 4 miles to my house was $129, and the labor charge of $110 was not prorated for the 15 minutes they took to diagnose and install the heating element. Beware of this service.

    Honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.They dont call to schedule appointments, when you call to confirm they are coming they say they will be there between 9-6 and then show up after.They had me wait for service for a back ordered part that ended up having nothing to do with the underlying problem.They then ordered the wrong part and installed it anyway.They came to my home 6 times to service my refrigerator/freezer over a period of 3 months.My refrigerator/freezer is still broken.On top of all of this, they have the most rude and condescending staff. The older Man named **** was the most unprofessional person Ive ever interfaced with. Avoid this company at all costs.

    My service person was contracted by American Home Shield to repair my ice maker. He was punctual, knowledgeable, pleasant, patient and respectful of property. I highly recommend this company and would do business with them again.
