This company is incredibly dishonest and unethical. After a fire at our house, our restoration company sub-contracted to Core Restores for the contents packing and cleaning. Not only did they do an awful job, breaking and damaging many items and giving us back items with missing pieces, but they held ALL of our belongings hostage for weeks while they argued with our insurance company over the costs. This obviously caused us a great deal of stress in an already stressful time. The company refused to speak with us via phone or email until we finally had to contact an attorney and threaten legal action in order get them to return our necessary belongings such as washer/dryer, clothing, and our infants crib. We didnt believe we could possibly have any worse opinion of this company until recently when we made a troubling discovery. We realized upon going through our young sons gifts from his Baptism and discovered that a cross necklace given to him by his ill grandfather was clearly removed from the box it was gifted in and was being stored in. The cross was clearly stolen by one of scores employees, as we had never removed it from the box other than when it was first opened at his Baptism. The necklace is of immeasurable sentimental value, given that my wifes father who gave it to my son is very ill. The cross also cost my father in law a significant amount of money, enough that he paid for it in installments. Did Core do this in retaliation for us threatening to **** Do they simply employ horrible people. Perhaps it is both. Whichever the case may be, I can think of nothing more despicable than stealing a religious item like that from a baby, as the crosss box said to my grandson. When we notified the company of this theft, we were again ignored. I very strongly urge companies not to use Core Restores for contract work, and I very strongly recommend that no prospective customers hire them. This company is incredibly dishonest, sleazy, and outright immoral.
