      Terrible working environment Worked as a manager for about 1 year, the employees I was sent to manage were horrible in just about every way possible. They would be threating and jumping in your face, they would just walk off the job whenever they felt like. They would be late every day and lie on a constant basis. The would conspire and not show up at the same time. Really difficult group with no support from HR or management. The work environment was so horrible that I actually quit the job twice. The first time I agreed to give it another try after speaking with my manager. When I returned I realized they wouldn't do anything or enforce punishment, which made my job as a manager very difficult. If you don't enforce nor punish the troublemakers that spreads like wildfire. If the HR department doesn't support the manager and the employees can sense this they just get worse. The strange thing was that this was happening and well known before I even arrived with numerous complaints from other managers/sales/customers. Yet the HR department refused to be of any help in sorting out the problem. I would actually get blamed for the trouble the employees committed as if I can control who they are. Even my manager wouldn't support nor speak with me about what was happening. The main office is ***** miles away so they took the out of sight out of mind attitude. I would suggest finding another HR manager who actually wants to do their job. And definitely find employees who don't want to start trouble all the time. The money they paid wasn't enough to deal with those type of employees. They should be grateful I actually cleaned up and sorted out that mess before I left...good by and good riddance to useless rubbish!

      I bought a $4000 thermomixer from Thomas Scientific, after months of shipping delays (seems like their warehouse dropped the ball) I finally received it. It lasted just over a year (aka just past the warranty) before failing with my precious sample on board. The heating/cooling feature no longer works and the device is effectively useless. This is totally unreasonable for a desktop thermocycler, which I typically expect to last a decade or more. Thomas Sci's customer service sent me a form email. I will no longer be using them as a supplier

      Made an order and called two weeks later to see why order had not shipped. Was told there was a hold on my order because they needed more information and they would call me. Waited three days and heard nothing so called again and canceled order. Was told I would receive a confirmation once order was canceled. A week later I received an alert on my bank account the funds had been withdrawn when I had canceled the order. I will never order from this company again! They would have put me overdrawn in my bank account if I wouldn't have had the funds! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
