as per BBB site, it told me to put my review here as well...My husband and I went to VW Shrewsbury dealership Saturday afternoon looking for a used car and we happened to see the 2016 VW Jetta on their lot priced at $5315. We inquired inside and spoke to sales agent **** who willingly took my husbands drivers license and made us take it for a test drive. Right after getting out of the car from the test drive, he told us " sorry folks but this car was sold". I called and spoke to their manager **** that Monday and confirmed that that car was sold Friday evening. I also made an inquiry and left a message on their voicemail saying I'm interested in that car(still on their website). Tuesday afternoon, the same car was still on their website but now at a higher price $8315 plus ****** from the dealership called and left a message asking when am I available to stop by and test drive the car. Not sure if they didn't sell the car to us because we were Asian! It's insulting and infuriating. They jack up the price and I have pictures to prove the two different prices!

Unfortunately, that vehicle was sold wholesale. I did speak to our provider that prices our vehicles. The settings were set up for wholesales to show on our website which was set to the wrong setting. I did have a conversation with our provider who has now corrected the problem. We do have other vehicles available for sale that we would be glad to have you look at and have you purchase. As a courtesy I can call the wholesaler that purchased the vehicle and ask them if they are willing to unwind the transaction so I can then offer the vehicle to you. If you decide to take this path and the wholesaler agrees you can purchase the vehicle, and it would be sold in as in condition. Please let me know if this is something you may want to pursue. If you would like to pursue this option, I will need to know **** as I have to reach out to the wholesaler who purchased the vehicle to be sure he is willing to unwind his purchase. I can be reached @ ************.
