On May 7, 2023, at approximately 12:03 a.m., I contacted Safe Road Rescue for towing due to an auto accident, I ask where you'll are located, I was told by the dispatcher "Downtown ***********", I said great, I'm approximately 10 minutes away. I was told in order for then to dispatch a tow truck, I had to pay in advance, in which I did, $309.35 by credit card, I was told the truck will be there in 90 minutes, after the 90 minutes passed , I call back and was told that the driver had a flat tire and will be there in 40 minutes, after the 40 minutes passed no tow truck, I called again and was told it would be 90 minutes, because they had to go on a police called, I express my frustration and the dissipater hung up on me, I called back and was told the same exact thing. After waiting 3 1/2 hours I verbally told the dispatcher to cancel the tow and I was told that "they will charge me a convivence fee", I stated that you'll lied and were unprofessional and I shouldn't be charging any fees. I also text then stating to cancel the tow. I received an invoice where they original charged my credit card, $309.35., then they reversed the charge to $19.00 to cover a handling fee. Safe Road Resue appears to use the same wording on others caller as well. Due to Safe Road Rescue defaulting they shouldn't have charged my credit card. I had to call **********************.

I called this company last night for a tow and waited 2.5 hours for them to call me and tell me I would be waiting another 60 to 70 minutes because the previous driver had to go on a police call. I am convinced by the previous posts that this company does this on a regular basis to make money off of their customers. They then give you an option to cancel but you must pay a convenience fee which mine was $39.00 and others have apparently been more but this is a scheme that pays them out of your satisfaction of getting no service and wanting to cancel. This is a scam and should be reported to authorities and investigated as such which I plan to find whomever I can to complain about this company posing as emergency roadside assistance and stealing the money from people who are in need of a towing company.

This tow copay charged an excess fee to come for service ($200 Hook Fee) and another $200 for mileage to tow my car 14 miles to my home. With tax, the tow charge was $435 for a **** Jeep Cherokee to be towed 14 miles. They did not disclose their fee arrangement prior to towing my vehicle. $435 is far to excessive - other companies (I have found out after the fact) typically charge less than $150 for such service. They refuse to compromise and issue a credit to adjust to other common service fee levels. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!!!! Horrible people!!!!!! I want a refund of $335 to adjust to a reasonable level charge.
