I obtained services from Allied Digestive Health. Despite promptly paying my medical bills of over $700 in a timely fashion, the billing department continued to harass me with constant voicemails. Despite notifying them via email and the doctor's office notifying the billing department as well via email, the billing department sent my bill to a debt collector. Now I have to deal with the mess caused by the billing department despite already paying.

Sorry for your experience. I have reached out to the billing department to get this rectified or get more information.

In late 2022, my company filed for **, so I decided to get all my regular exams. I called Allied Digestive for a colonoscopy and confirmed with the *** that insurance would fully cover the procedure. The *** asked that I go in for a consult prior to the procedure and confirmed it was all part of the colonoscopy.During my 1/16/23 consultation, the doctor asked about any GI issues, so I said I often get diverticulitis accompanied with pain in my lower left abdomen. I mentioned the pain in my lower left abdomen never really goes away completely. The doctor advised the consultation was so he knows what to look out for during the colonoscopy. I was not prescribed any medication and left with my colonoscopy scheduled. After my colonoscopy on March 29, I received a bill for the office visit. I called both my insurance company and the doctors office asking why I was billed and I was told by both that it was billed as a regular office visit and not as a consultation for the colonoscopy. I was told by the insurance company that the claim needs to be revised to reflect a colonoscopy consultation which I relayed to the office. After a few more calls with both the insurance company and the office, my insurance company filed an appeal on 7/28/23 (Ref # ****) to try to deal with the claim as it was submitted. My insurance company advised they would notify doctors office of the appeal, and I also notified the office. After the appeal was filed, I did not receive any bills, so assumed it was resolved. Then, in August 2024, I received a bill dated 7/31/24 (over a year after the appeal was filed). I called the office on 9/16/24 and spoke to ***** who said she did see notes about the appeal and would resubmit the claim as a colonoscopy consultation. Then, I receive another bill and a collections notice in late October/early November. I was completely misled to go in for what was posed as a colonoscopy consultation in an attempt to bill me for an office visit.

I was seen by Dr. R******** for a tele health appt on 11/25/22. I was later sent a bill for $15.00, my copayment. I paid this bill then, and more than once afterwards when they continued sending me bills for this copayment. The reason I paid it more than once, is that I don’t want my credit ruined over this. Today I received another bill stating that it is 569 days past due and has been referred to collections agency. The last time i spoke with the office they stated it was a new computer system and that I wouldn’t receive future bills.

    Hi ********

I am Sap S****, the COO of Allied Digestive Health and I personally want to apologize to you and not sure what happened with you. It could be because we did change our billing systems and it might have not transferred information properly but it is no excuse for what happened. I will personally look into it and get you to a refund. I hope you will continue to see Dr. R*********
