    On August 28th 2023, my husband *************************, had appointment with metropolitan dermatology at ********************************************* to have sutures removed for procedure he had done for skin cancer. When we get to appointment my husband is told that he had a balance of ****** from June 7th 2023 from metropolitan dermatology or Clark dermatology located in ************* **. He was told if he did not pay in full he could not be seen and get sutures removed. Since there was not much choice my husband paid balance with credit card. We also let receptionist know that we had contacted the insurance company since 6/7/23 to update coordination of benefits and work on reprocessing claim. On August 28th insurance company is contacted and we are told that the claim has been processed since August 18th and August 25th should have been received by the dermatology office, we are told to follow up with them in about 1 week. About 2 weeks ago we called billing department and tell them that our insurance told us that the bill was paid in full, "afren" from billing department asks if we want to be refunded and we let him know of course asap. He tells us will take 5 to 7 business days. Sept 15th is 7 days from when he Said would be processed. I called credit card today and still no refund. I called billing department and lady says that refund still not processed and "today" would make it urgent to get done. I let her know that just like there was an urgency for us to pay then there should he urgency to get refund back and I would get bbb involved.
