I went into Snelbaker and Son in early September to purchase two headstones. One stone for my Mother and the other for my Grandmother. A sales lady named ***** "helped" me with the process. ***** stated that she was new and I am now suffering the consequences of her being new with no guidance. I explained that I did not want to pay more then $5000 for both and she assured me this was definitely doable. At that point ***** continued to fast talk and give misinformation. She took my money, made sketches of what I wanted for both and gave me two receipts that said paid in full. A couple days later a man called and stated that ***** quoted the wrong price and I needed to pay another $1400 for the cemetery to pour the cement. I said ok but rightfully I shouldn't have paid that as my receipt said paid in full and cemetery fee was listed as paid. I did not want to argue and immediately paid that. I had no further contact with the business until the end of November when I demanded a final sketch to approve as promised and a completion date. The sketches sent had wrong death dates and outrageous verbiage that I never selected. ***** was apologetic and that does not compensate taking advantage of someone during a grieving process. I want this executed correctly and as promised, I also expect ***** to be trained properly. While I was in the office she is faxing papers to incomplete numbers, scattered and just plain confused. I paid in full with a confidence that this company could do a job that I am not getting. I want answers immediately. Also, ***** needs help in that office to help it run effectively.
