    Business Response

We are quite surprised to get a complaint from *** ******** considering the extensive front end damage he initially had when he brought his 1996 Toyota Tercel to our shop. We regret that he didn't bring his vehicle back to our shop so that we could have continued further repairs or communicate to us of any issues *** ******** had. Our warranty is only applicable if the vehicle is brought back to our shop otherwise the warranty on any repairs previously done are void. ** ********** vehicle was not drivable at the point he brought his Tercel to our shop. He had stated he "hit a curb" very hard and the front wheel was almost horizontal and his vehicle absolutely needed extensive suspension repairs. The inner tie rod was shaped like a "V" rather than straight, the strut was bent and there was a lot of duct tape on the boots, bushings and underneath the car. **** ******* who is our Manager spoke with *** ******** throughout the repair process and advised *** ******** that his vehicle needed a considerable amount of parts in order for his vehicle to drive properly. *** ******** stated that he could not afford to do all the repairs and just wanted it to be drivable. **** expressed to him that we would start by replacing the tie rods & the strut at that point and gradually replace the other recommended parts such as wheel bearings, possible axle shaft and other components necessary over time to accommodate **. ********** budget. We replaced the tie rods, a strut which was not compatible with the strut mount on his vehicle so we replaced the strut mount at no charge followed by an alignment. **** ******* reiterated to *** ******** when he picked up his vehicle that his vehicle still needed additional repairs and when he could afford to proceed with those repairs we would do so. We cannot justify a refund to *** ******** because we installed the new tie rods, strut and mount and aligned the vehicle which *** ******** was able to drive home. **** ******* and our mechanic's spent a considerable amount of time to repairing *** ********** vehicle which was very challenging do to the damages and age of the vehicle. **** ******* kept *** ******** informed throughout the time his vehicle was at our shop and explained to *** ******** that in order for his vehicle to drive perfectly, it would require an entire front end rebuild which *** ******** could not afford at that time. Everything done to *** ********** vehicle at our shop was absolutely necessary.
