On 9/30/22 I had Marquez Concrete Works put a sidewalk in my yard. I paid them 3000.00 1/2 upfront and when done paid the other 1/2 of the project. They wanted cash so I took cash advance from my Capital One credit card. Then 3 months later i found the note and card from Coyote Gravel Products, Inc. on my front door with the note stating they would file a lien on my unless I paid 987.50 to them. They told me that they had been trying to get Pedro M****** to pay the bill for cement. Since he didn't pay it I had to pay for it or they would put a lien on my house. Teri told me because he didn't respond it fell to the homeowner. So paid for it again. I don't feel it is right that because Pedro M****** was paid 3000.00 from me covered all materials and labor. I would expected him to pay for the cement. It's not right that he scammed me out of the money I had already paid him for the project. i want him to pay me back 987.50 because I believe it's his responsibility to pay for the cement not me. i had asked for a receipt and the man said once he got back to office he would send me the receipt, but never received one. I told M****** i thought he was taking advantage of a disabled woman. He laughed and hung up.
