Garage doors were installed by contractor and 2 of them do not open. This is a brand new building, brand new doors. They will open manually, but are difficult to open manually. They will NOT open with the opener. I have texted, emailed, and called him and he has not come to fix or adjust the doors. Early on he came and ********* opener, but did not fix the other 2. I would not recommend him as I consider that he did not finish the job although I paid for the job in full, $22,000.

    Hello,

The product was installed on 04/26/2022 client signed off that product was in good working order. Faithfull Garage doors re-visited the sight on 07/13/2022 for readjustment and 3rd motor install; the client signed off that product was in good working order and was aware of the 30-day work warranty. On 7/13/2022 client asked for alterations to the original door structure and was advised that the alterations would shorten the product's life per the manufacturer’s specks. The client signed off on alterations despite concerns. The client called with concerns on 10/19/2022 exceeding his warranty by two months. Faithful Garage Doors provides a 30-day work warranty, and the client made claim after 30 days. Faithful Garage doors is willing to look at the job site and make necessary adjustments. The client would have to pay for the trip charge and labor rate. The client refused to pay and was out of warranty when he reached out.

The contractor agreed that the warranty would not start until the electrical was done. The electrical was not done when he installed the doors because we had not gotten the final inspection on the building yet, so therefore we were not using the doors. He tested them with an extension cord and the power was not on long enough to keep them consistent. I paid him $21,000 plus a tip. The doors have not been used in 3 months and they are new doors! To my knowledge the springs were not adjusted properly where they can be used manually as they would not open all the way. How can brand new doors wear out so quickly especially when we werent even opening them since we didnt have electricity! The contractors comment was that these are big doors. He shouldnt have taken this job on if he couldnt handle big doors. Its a new building, new doors how can they give out in just a few months?

My building has been without 2 of the overhead doors now for over a month; the cables came off. I have gotten a new estimate from another company to do repairs. His estimate is $5,000 to repair all of the doors, as they all have issues. One issue of concern is that the bracing is 1" bracing and should have been at least 2"-3" bracing for the size of the doors; they are starting to collapse. This is just one example of the problems of the doors being installed improperly.
