On 05/30/2024, *******, a horrible technician from I-Deal HVAC was there to service my swamp cooler. I had a service agreement with I-Deal for this paid monthly. I had an appointment for 06/07/24 originally. I called to see if they had anything sooner. The associate who handled my call said yes they did and that someone would actually be available that day,5/30/24. I Work From Home and said that would work, I get out at 4pm and could the technician come after that so I could go to the hardware store to pick up a new pad for the swamp cooler that needed servicing, she said that was no problem.
The technician arrived earlier than anticipated, it was a hot day & I felt bad as I had to make him move his truck so I could rush down to the closest hardware store for a new pad so he could start working. The attitude from ******* was unpleasant and he had no idea what he was doing. He had to call his boss on what to do, he was very irritated with me and made it known that he was mad at me for not being prepared for his arrival. I was very flustered and told him that he could stop working and get off my roof.
I called the office to complain & say I was cancelling service & they took the complaint. They said they would send a new technician to finish the job & would that be okay. I said fine & ***** arrived 05/31/2024 at around 8am.
He was strictly business, went straight to work, got the job done, & mentioned I would need a new pump soon as the current one was going to go out. I said I could replace that part & thanked him. The pump did go out on 06/10/24.
When I replaced the pump I noticed the L box was loose, moved it and it shorted out, causing me to hire an electrician on 06/10/24 to fix it. ***** was not thorough or he caused the damage but it was not there before him or ******* were on my roof. per the agreement, they were supposed to check the electrical & they didn't. I could have been injured. They also forged my initials on the Invoice where the signature goes.

    Business Response

I did a credit back to her for our services. I adjusted for services not for the membership.
When she reached out to the office she was requesting to cancel her membership. She was advised that by canceling the membership she would have to then pay for the visit that was done on 5/30/2024. I then adjusted the invoice from 149.84 to 97.79 plus tax was 106.03. I emailed the new invoice and that is when she emailed me letting me know that she would not be paying it.
Since I am unable to retrieve the email, I can go ahead and waive the invoice.

    Better Business Bureau®:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I only wish to make it known that they voided the contract when they failed to attend to the electrical and they are responsible for the electrical damage done.

    Regards,
