      On February 26, 2023 I filled a claim with CCMSI regarding loss of good due to negligence from poor equipment management. In CCMSI response dated 03/17/2023 they indicated my power outage was due to "trees/branches to be blown onto *** equipment". Which is a thousand percent a lie. when I attempted to resolve my concerns with CCMSI I specifically indicated that our outage was only impacting 6 homes when all other surrounding homes had power and there were no blown transformers, down powerlines or down electrical polls and explained it had to do with faulty equipment. I request a full report from *** which CCMSI should have done in there review and *** contradicts CCMSI representative ***** ***** claim. *** confirmed the power outage to 6 homes while others had power for miles was due to failed leads and not caused by trees or branches as ***** claimed in her response.

      After receiving the complaint,
      CCMSI has launched a thorough investigation into the claim and its contents.
      The claim was originally denied with the cause as trees in the line. When the
      claimant contested the denial, the adjuster (*****) asked him to send her the
      documentation he said he had indicating that the outage was not due to trees.
      She did receive that documentation and reviewed it.  As a result, it
      appears that the outage for this individual was not due to trees, but due to
      failed leads. However, this does not change the trajectory of the claim. Thus,
      the claim remains denied at this time as failed leads are considered equipment
      failure/breakdown. CCMSI hopes that this additional information is helpful to
      the claimant.
