      Verbal Response: They finally got me my check. refund would be put in the mail that day and for me to expect it the following Tuesday 1/16/2024.

      Almost two weeks later, I still had not received the refund. I messaged *** ***** directly on his cell phone. He got back to me quickly and again said the check would be sent out immediately and I could expect it within a few days. That was over a week ago and I still have not received my refund.

      I texted him again yesterday, 2/5/2024 and inquired about my refund. He did not reply and has yet to respond to my request.

      I need help getting this business to give me back my money as they are holding it illegally and without reason.

      I went to the local government ran DMV today and was provided further information. In my state, even if the federal ID (social security) is changed, you still have to have the state court system change your name. It's a long and complicated process, but in that's what required for a middle name change - even if you federally changed your name prior. 

      While this business was unable to change the middle name, before processing the license name change there should of been a confirmation. 

      One thing to add, is the business sent my two cash receipts for a training/ test I did not take and was not present for. I will attach those receipts to this email.

      At no point in the first interaction with the business did they state they were unable to change the middle name as it was presented on the legal documents. Better business practice could be confirming name and name spelling before completing the transaction. If I had known prior to payment that my middle name could not change with the updated federal ID, I would of gone through that process prior and saved some money. 

      This issue can be closed, I am soured on having to get my license changed twice but it is what it is.

      I moved to New Mexico and tried to register my vehicle. You are required to have a VIN check and the title from your lien holder. In June 2023 i turned in all of my documents (VIN check, proof of residency, insurance) and received "request for leinholder title and temporary authorization operate vehicle". I provided all of the request documents at that time., I waited and received temp permits for June and July. When I went back in August to the MDV on san Mateo I was told they did not have my paperwork and I needed to resubmit. THEY LOST MY PAPERWORK I resubmitted my paperwork was given the "request for leinholder title and temporary authorization for Aug, Sep. Now They want to charge me for another VIN inspection (I have a copy of the original) and will need to resubmit all of my documents. This has been the most frustrating and expensive process. MVD is not here to help they are trying to up charge me. In total I will have spent about $108.00 to do paperwork and I still do not have my plates. and was told my plates would be $120.00. MVD should state they are not an official part of the DMV and all of them are not owned by the same company. If you start the process with one office they do not work with the other offices that are all listed as MVD. The office manager at the San Mateo office is rude and not helpful. I also talked to the "reginal manager Eber R******* who was also unhelpful. At this point I have waste time and money and will not go back to the San Mateo office to complete the process. I will have to pay for another VIN and Title requests. But I will not do business with MVD and do not suggest anyone does.
