I bought a trailer on 10/1/2022 and I had a reasonable expectation to be able to licence it. I have not received the paperwork the DMV will accept, I contaced the business and they wanted to charge me another 50 dollars to give me the paper work again. They claimed they sent it to me.
I have not received it, the DMV now want late fees if I can provide the paperwork.

Mr ***** paid with a check.  As communicated to the customer, we hold the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin for 10 days to ensure the check clears.  We then send out the MSO to the customer Certified Mail, so that we have confirmation of delivery.  I have attached copies of the **** label and communications from **** that show they delivered the item.  This was over 9 months ago.  The Sales Invoice (copy attached) clearly states in BOLD letters, "TRAILER MUST BE REGISTERED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ABOVE DATE"   Mr. ***** called and when we explained that we had mailed his documents and he would have to pay for a replacement as we are charged by the manufacturer to get replacements. Our Sales Invoice also clearly states that "Charges will apply for replacement MSO or Invoice".  Mr. ***** apparently doesn't want to pay the $53.81.

      Sincerely

I am rejecting this response because:

I paid Jackson's an extra 50 dollars for a permanent plate. it is on the receipt, for whatever reason I never received the proper paperwork to licence said trailer.  I have been to the MVD three separate times trying to register it, the first time was within the 30 days, and twice thereafter.  I did not try to register it during the winter because the trailer was under a pile of snow.  My question now is if I send Jackson's another 50 dollars, and I still do not receive the proper paperwork, then what?  Do I file another complaint?  Do I take them to small claims court?  Do I use the trailer until I get a ticket and explain to a judge?

      Regards,

      **** *****
