  I **** had City of Books publish my book " Journey to The Prize " in year 2024. I paid excessive amounts of monies for a very many contracts.I spent $2,600 on Three different Book Fairs, some internationally and $20,000.00 for Screen Play Promotion and $5,000.00 for the library's distribution.During the publication I had a Radio and Television interview, And my book was registered with the *******************. I believe they're working on the sales of my book with these contracts. The First (1) problem City of Books charged my Credit Card twice without my permission. I had to contact my ******************* to get my credit returned to me for sum amount of $1,300.00.Second (2) was the problem with the ********* and I received checks for only the first and second Quarters. But the third (3) one has not yet been received since November 2024. Plus, two (2) more Quarters for my Royalities payment due to me. City of Books has not been answering my phone calls and emails in regard to my Royalities payment that are due to me. And they're not registering in my City of Books Royalites account; no number of ******************** sales and sum amount due to me. I believe it is a larger amount sum of money they seem to be ignoring me, period. They told me that my book has sold very well at the Books Fairs and then left it at that leaving me in the dark about my accounts with them for my sales due to me. I also told them that I could not afford anymore contracts, and I had to cancel my Credit Card account due to the persistent fear that I would be charged again without my authorization.   I contracted Citi of Books for publishing services and paid $1,200 in good faith. I was promised editorial support, professional design services, and ongoing communication throughout the process. Unfortunately, none of these commitments were fulfilled.The editorial services never materialized, the submitted book cover design was extremely unprofessional, and communication became minimal, only resurfacing to push marketing discussions for a product that had yet to be developed.I submitted a formal refund request on April 22, 2025, and after several correspondences and verbal assurances that a refund would be issued, no payment has been received as of today. I have lost confidence in this company's ability to deliver quality service or honor its financial commitments.Given the continued delays, broken promises, and lack of accountability, I do not recommend Citi of Books to any author or publishing professional.

  Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with Citi of Books. We genuinely value all feedback and take your concerns very seriously. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you encountered during your publishing journey with us.
  You bought a ******* Publishing Package on February 9, 2024, and completed the payment by August 9, 2024. Typically, publishing or republishing can take up to three months once all necessary materials are submitted. However, we did not receive your complete manuscript until March 11, 2025. This delay in finalizing your manuscript significantly impacted the production timeline.
  We understand that you felt there was a lack of communication and support, but our records indicate that your book fulfillment officer, ****** *******, and your author adviser, ***** ******, have been in regular contact with you throughout the process. They have made efforts to assist you at every step, and I regret that this may not have been your perception.
  ****** spoke with Ms. ******** on February 25 regarding the manuscript that was submitted on February 13. After receiving the final version of the manuscript on March 11, we sent the draft design of the book cover to you for approval on March 26. We appreciate your prompt response on April 2.
  Furthermore, ****** transitioned to another department last April, which may have contributed to the delay in communication regarding your concerns. However, communication did not cease entirely. Your author advisor, ****** made attempts to reach you by phone, but unfortunately, she was unable to connect.
  Moreover, regarding your refund request submitted on April 22, 2025, we want to assure you that we are actively reviewing it. Our finance team has confirmed that your refund is currently in progress, and we are committed to resolving this matter as quickly as possible.
  However, we would like to inform you that the refund amount may not be the full $1,200, as work has already commenced in your book. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

  I am elated with all the publishing and marketing services I have received from Citi of Books. This company discovered the first edition of one of my four-book volume; then after finding out about the four books, they proceeded to offer me a reasonable price for their services on all four. My experience with their professional and personable service over a year's period of time in producing the second edition of these four books was an extraordinary blessing. I commend Mr. ******, who is the Publicist/Marketing Consultant that found me; Director ******** who is the Director who believed in me to the point of creating an affordable service; Ms. ********, who was my first Book Fulfillment Officer and the person who patiently introduced and coached me through the book publishing process; and Mr. *****, whose professional interaction, coaching, patience, and kindness helped me to get across the finish line with all four books. I also commend their editing team that worked in the background and patiently updated my second edition of all four books, with the many updates I requested to the original manuscripts. I feel so blessed that this company found me, and then after finding me they continued to believe in and help me.   I have been searching for a new publishing company for quite some time now after my previous one, to put it simply, ghosted me. I already had two books published with them and was planning to release my third, but I was unable to get in touch with them. Anyway, enough about that.After extensive research into various publishing companies, Citi of Books stood out the most. The biggest draw for me was their local presence, making communication and collaboration more convenient. I reached out via their website over the weekend, and to my surprise, they responded promptly on Monday right at their opening hours.Before I knew it, I was in contact with two incredible professionals who have made this experience truly seamless. First, ***** *******. From the very beginning, she has been instrumental in getting my project off the ground. Not only did she assist with my third installment, but she also answered all my questions regarding my first two books. What started as a plan to revise them has now turned into a complete republishing endeavor with Citi of Books. ***** has introduced me to a range of valuable services, and I appreciate that theres no pressurejust genuine support tailored to my needs.Then, there's ***** *****. She has been in constant communication with me, ensuring every detailfrom cover design to interior formattingaligns with my vision.
