Two Heavyweights Remodeling was hired to fix my mobile home after a water pipe broke on December 12 or 13, 2022. I met Richard at my ***** ********* ********* ******* ****** ****** ******** ******. His wife ******* **** ###-###-#### or ###-###-####, and he started bringing their daughter here on July 22, 2022. When Richard heard my house was flooded, he offered to fix it. We paid him $3000.00 casl1 on January 30, 2023, to begin the work. We then paid him another $3000.00 on March 29, 2023. Richard and his partner David were doing work, and then Richard's wife had a baby on February 17, 2023; we were told his father passed away in February, and his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. We did not pressure Richard to work. As things settled, I began communicating with Richard about getting the work done. On Sunday, April 28, 2024, I texted him I would take legal action, and he responded with, "OK, if that's what you feel you have to do. I understand. on June 24. I sent a text to Richard and his wife *******, stating that I would pursue legal action. ******* did not get the text message, so I told her in person when she picked up the children. On June 28, 2024, ******* ###-###-#### set up a group text called HOUSE, and we decided to meet on July 13. 2020 to set a schedule to get the house completed. Richard came to the house on July 20, and my husband, **** *********, and Richard created a checklist of what needed to be completed. 011 July 27. 2024 Richard tore down a wall in the tl1e bathroom. He told **** he would be out on August 3, 2024, even though originally he was not scheduled that day because we could not use the shower until the wall was redone. Richard was expected to be at the house on August 17 and 24. He did not come out because he was stuck in Texas and asked if he could come out on Sunday the 18th at 8:00 a.m. to get the wall back in and the surround up.

On June 9, 2023 we entered into a agreement with RJO Q**** owner for a driveway concrete slab and tree stump removal. He quoted price $4,800. We have him $2,000 cash down. Job to be started on June 15, 2023 never started on that date. On June 22, 2023 RJO Q**** came to our house and asked for another advance for $1,000 cash. He said he needed to pick up daughter from Tenn ex wife died in car crash. We gave him, I should said loaned him $1,000 cash in good faith that he would pay us back on the 27th of June when he got back and would start work. They he then said on the 28 of June that he would start on July 8th 2023. That is when we requested a full refund of $3,000 He never did any work and he hasn't refunded our money.

On May 21st, I hired Two Heavyweights Remodeling to complete some repairs on my house. I put down a deposit for 710$. There were numerous delays supposedly relating to material and personnel availability. On June 7th, they came out to start work, and immediately claimed to have found additional issues, and asked for an additional deposit of 2288.65$. After the additional deposit was paid, all I got were delays and excuses. I was repeatedly told "the crew is coming out Monday," followed by no-show/no-call. On July 9th, they agreed to refund my money and I was told "the check was in the mail." The check never showed up, and additional attempts to contact have been met with silence. At this point, I just want my money back.
