    Job #********** I hired them to help move furniture from a third floor apartment to a house on 7/2/22. I paid them $245.95. They committed to loading my furniture from my apartment onto my truck and then from my truck into the new house. During the move, the 2 movers dropped my dresser and 4 drawers were damaged. They immediately apologized and said that they would buy me a new dresser. They took pictures of the damage and let me know that I would be hearing from the company. When I hadn’t heard back, I texted the owner on 7/11/22 that it was damaged. He texted back on the same day asking if I wanted the drawers replaced. I texted him on 7/12/22 that it’s a 20 year old sentimental piece of furniture and that I’d like to be compensated. The first correspondence was immediate and I thought it would be resolved quickly. I never heard back so I texted him again on 8/5/22. He didn’t remember who I was and never responded when I reminded him. I asked him for an update on 8/9/22 and never heard back that time either. I decided to email his company on 8/10/22. The same day, I heard back that they would refund the broken dresser, and that they again wanted the information so they could research the cost of the damage. Again, I sent the sticker on the back of the matching nightstand and told them where it was purchased. This time, I found a similar dresser made by the same company and sent the link. When I didn’t hear back this time, I emailed again on 8/18/22 and again never heard back. My dad who was there when the dresser was dropped called around 8/26/22. He was told that I would hear from them. When I didn’t, I emailed on 9/13/22 telling them that I had sent them enough information to reimburse me but that it had been almost a month since I had last heard from them. I tried texting him on 9/16/22 that nothing had happened to resolve the issue yet and that I hoped we could work together to finally fix it. I have had no further correspondence with Donovan or his company.
