On 02/26/2022, I disputed the completeness and Accuracy of this collection on my consumer report and it has come back verified. I do not believe that the Credit Bureau of Farmington properly investigated this account because there are obvious inaccuracies.

First off the balance is higher than the High Balance. Both ******* and ********** are reporting a balance of $1,620.00 while the high balance reports as $1,593. Now, there is no way that the current balance could be higher than the high balance if the high balance is the highest the account has ever been.

The date of the last activity does not match. ******* is reporting the date of the last activity as 03/01/2023 while ********** is reporting 03/07/2023 Having the wrong date of the last activity makes this account inaccurate because it does not clearly tell you when the account is supposed to fall off.

Credit Bureau of Farmington has violated 15 usc 1681s-2b of the fair credit reporting act. Since they have verified this account as accurate and there are obvious inaccuracies they failed the 5 duties of a furnisher when receiving a dispute which are all violations from each credit reporting agency they are reporting to.

First, the difference between the dollar amounts is New Mexico
Gross Receipts Tax. This is clearly a collectible amount.
Second, the difference in the dates has nothing to do with when
the account comes off the credit reports.
We report information every month, these dates reflect the date that
each credit reporting agency downloaded our information and actually placed it
    on the credit report.
Neither of these minor differences are violations of FDCPA.
The amount has been verified by the client and is still owed.  However, the Date of Service, which is the
guiding date, is June 9, 2016, which means this account will be removed from the
    credit report naturally when we
    report in June.

CBF Services is a collection agency, that was hired to collect a $150 debt my wife (***** ***** formerly ***** ******** had accrued in August 2020. They never sent us anything in the mail, nor did they attempt to contact us via phone for the payment (verified by phone records). In September 2022, they sent in a credit statement that dropped my wife's credit score significantly. We were under contract to purchase a house, and credit reports prior had not shown the disputed account from CBF. We are scheduled to close on our house mid October, and because of CBF's sudden actions to report on our credit scores, our interest rate shot up 0.5%.
CBF did not do their due diligence in trying to contact and collect from us, but rather went the easy route of reporting us to credit agencies. This is going to cost us a lot of $ in the long run, and CBF is responsible for it. All they had to do was notify us and we would have paid it immediately. Instead, they sat on it for over 2 years, did nothing, and then sent in our reports when they started to receive pressure to get our payment. This is not an ethical way to run a collection agency.
We paid the bill in question the day we were notified of it, via our credit report.
Loan documents can be provided to show the adjusted interest rates due to CBF's actions upon request.

We can only speak in general terms, per the FDCPA and third-party disclosure. Federal laws requires we send a collection notice, which is considered delivered unless we receive return mail.  Making phone calls is what we do, we have no incentive NOT to call.  We credit report 60 days after a collection account is placed with us.  Accounts that are disputed are answered in 30 days.  We are always willing to talk to any debtor about accounts, however not publicly.
