    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    1) On 3/8/23, we took the cabinet layout from **** ***** to the business.  A copy was left with them.  We received a hand written contract.  The Island was included at $720.  We chose to not purchase the sink, which was already added into the price @ $289.  We paid $1900 down with a ******** Card.  We were told by her son that the final payment would be adjusted since we didn't want their sink.

    2) The total payment shows that the price of the business's sink, was not taken off of the final price.  (We paid for their sink, when we furnished our own).  (We just realized this, looking back through our records).

    3) ****** called when the dispute with ******** took place.  She said that she had already paid for the materials.  We could have, and should have went somewhere at that point, but, we agreed to have to her go ahead and do the job.

    4)  We felt that she was very irate about the dispute with ********, and short changed us on her work.  She obviously didn't order enough material in the first place, and convinced us to go with a different color island, which we think was leftover material from another job.

    5)  When she came to do the template, there was one piece of wood paneling,(not sheetrock), that the cabinet installer hadn't put up.  My husband was ready to put that panel up, and she told him NOT to.

    6) We had a ceramic tile layer that was going to do the back.  When my husband told ****** that, she said we didn't need a backsplash then.  The tile layer said we did absolutely need a backsplash.  She showed up with a 2" backsplash, and would not install it.  We were told that there would be an extra charge to for that installation.  A standard backsplash is 4".  Again, we believe she didn't have enough material, so we were shortchanged.

    7) Nowhere were we told that there was 60 square feet of counter top.

    Regards,

    ***** *****

hould have been done, and that she could not do the backsplash till the wall was done. We would either like her to finish the job, or return part of our money. We feel that $500 would be a fair refund. I also asked her to make cutting boards out of the sink cutouts. That was not done, but, that's ok, I understand there would have been an extra charge for those, but, she or someone wrote in permanent marker right in the middle of the piece that would have been the cutting boards. We feel that was out of spite, and vindictiveness.

    See attached

    1. The purchase price is as stated w/ 1,900 placed on credit card on 3/8

    2. Right after deposit was made, they had told me of the problem they were having with the cabinet installer, and this went on for months. I was contacted again in May, and tried to get out there to look at the cabinets. I got tied up on another job, and then had to go out of town.

    3. We are running 4-6 months out and try to accommodate people who have torn up their houses

    4. My card carrier called me to report a chargeback - I called ***** and explained the situation. I went up to their house to template.

    5. At that time, I told them that they weren't ready, half the sheetrock was missing so we were looking at open wall studs. Mr. ***** assured me that he would finish installing bracing and fillers and that it didn't matter as they were going to do a tile backsplash.

I'm going to repeat this...they were doing the backsplash, they did not pay for the corian backsplash. We did tell him not to change anything after templating otherwise the tops wouldn't fit. We then had more conversations and we were asked if we could make them some corian splash...we did, still did not change, in fact, they were charged for 60 square feet and after templating we went over that with the island. We discussed that with them, and did a contrasting color, still at no extra charge.

    6. Cutting boards we typically make one at no charge, with the sink cut out. We had to use that piece fabricating. We did have the cooktop cutout material, also no charge on that labor item. Mr. ***** kept that, he wanted to make his own the magic marker probably looks like this (see attached) we have find the center so we can cut it out.
