    Gallup Fence (GF) installed a cedar fence on my property in 8/2022. I paid in full: $11,415.50. I was promised a quality fence with sealed wood that would last for years and have strong steel supports. What I received was a fence that quickly began to splinter, buckle, rot, pull away from the posts, and eventually fall down. Within a week of installation, the fence became stained from the nails used. In October, GF came out and agreed that the stains were a problem but could not remove them. In addition, the cedar planks used had open knot holes all along the entire length of the fence. After many complaints, the company finally returned to the property in Dec. 2022 to inspect and agreed to replace the planks that were splintering, buckling and had knot holes. GF also agreed to secure the planks that had pulled away from the support posts. At the time of this repair, the workers clearly told me that the wood used was not treated in any way. When I asked the owner (Mr. C*****) about this, he said that “if you want that, you should go buy a sealant yourself.” From Feb. through Apr. of 2023, multiple portions of the fence fell to the ground, in addition, splintering, buckling and loose planks continue to be an issue. I texted multiple photos to the owner of the various problems with the fence and have sent multiple texts (as the owner's voicemail box does not accept messages). The owner's grandson, Charles, most recently inspected the fence on 6/8/23 and stated that “the fence needs to be replaced.” Charles also promised to complete a scope of work, which he still has not provided. I request a properly installed, stable, weather-treated cedar fence. As the planks have already started to rot, this would mean a complete replacement of the fence. I require a warranty against similar defects for one year after installation. If this is not possible, I request a reimbursement of all funds paid. No-one has returned my calls or made an attempt to rectify the situation.
