November 15th 2024 Me and the mechanic (***** *******) took my car up to his property for him to do some engine work for me. Weeks prior my 2008 Suzuki GSX650F had been stolen so upon recovery we took it to his house as well for him to assess damage and what not. We Had come to a deal that In exchange for the work on my vehicle, a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro, I would pay him $1,000 and trade him the Bike as well. On December 10th 2024 I had sent him $150 Toward the labor for the work on the car. A couple weeks go by, January 5th 2025 I go up to his house and give him 100 toward the labor on the car. He tells me it should take 3 to 4 days to finish so I give it some time and start trying to get back in contact with him. About 2-3 weeks go by of him not answering so now Im texting him and Calling him again. On January 27th 2025 he finally gives me a call back from one of my calls and tells me that he’s been waiting on me to finish and he needs a part to finish the car. So I send him my email that same day so he could send me the part and now I’m not getting any answers to my text or anything again. Well February 3rd 2025 Im fed up so I text him and we get into a whole back and fourth dispute over text then later come to a understanding that I’ve been trying to pay him and give him more money whole time while he’s been ignoring me. Well February 4th 2025 I order the part and tell him it will be here on the 7th and I can drop it off, the part had gotten delivered a couple minutes before I had to go to work so I told him I’d bring it up the next day. Well February 8th 2025 I bring him the part as well as some other stuff he needed for the car. February 13th 2025 I text him to check on the progress on the car, He lets me know that he does need some money for gas to clean off the engine parts and everything before reassembly. On February 14th 2025 I go up to his house and give him $300. I let him know i have the remaining $450 when he finishes the car but he isn’t finishing it.
