    My daughter went in to get a series of vaccines required for her attendance at a local college certification program, and **** ***** **** ****** *****) was listed as one of the insurance companies they accepted on their website, so she went in to get these rush order vaccines as a brand new resident within two weeks of being notified of having to move into Las Cruces to attend this school/program. Now, **** is telling me that this business is "out of network" AND that "vaccines are not covered" so they will not reimburse us for ANY of these vaccines' cost. **** is similarly culpable by having this hidden/deceitful/fraudulent rule that cannot be understood by anyone but an attorney looking for loopholes within cesspools of legal jargon and policy nonsense incomprehensible to their mass customers.

    Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We are indeed a participating provider with ****, so I’m unsure why you were informed otherwise.

    However, the primary issue in this case is that your insurance plan does not cover vaccines.  As a participating provider, we are required to accept the amount approved by the insurance company. Since vaccines are not covered under your plan, there is no approved reimbursement. This is a common policy among many insurance providers, which is why we offer our vaccine services at a self-pay rate. For your daughter, we applied our self-pay pricing, which includes a student discount. We understand your frustration, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Unfortunately, if we relied solely on insurance reimbursements, we would not be able to offer these vaccines to students, as most plans do not provide coverage.
