    I entered into a contract with Ruiz Lath & Plaster to re-stucco my house in April 2023. I paid a deposit of $7500.00 to have the work completed. Mr. R*** said he would take care of my property after he finished my neighbor's house. He took several weeks to get back to us and then completed my neighbor's house. After which, he did not contact us for several more weeks until he came back to paint the soffits. He completed the painting (which we paid for separately) and then rarely responded to text messages asking when he would complete the stucco. He told us to wait, we were in line. Which is not what we agreed to in the beginning. In October 2023, we finally talked to him on the phone. He told us he took a job with a developer in Los Lunas and that developer did not pay him so he could not finish our house. He said he would repay us but it has been two more months and we haven't heard a word from him. Mr. R*** took $7500 from us, did no work for that money, and has not repaid us.

    We hired ****** **** to repair our stucco in spots that had needed filling or resurfacing. He came to the house, gave us an estimate, and said that the cost would include all the repairs we discussed together and also any that he came across as he repaired the stucco. He came with his crew a day late, due to the stucco not being ready the day prior. When he arrived the next day at 11:30 am , they dropped off the stucco, and said they would now be going to lunch. And left. They came back later in the afternoon and proceeded to repair the stucco. When husband arrived home, and walked the house with Manuel, and pointed out several places that they had missed repairing, they did fix those places, except one that ****** stated was a joint and could not be covered. When I arrived home later that day, I found multiple places that were not fixed, including ones that we saw and discussed with ****** at the time of the estimate. My husband called to let ****** know that there were several places that were still missed, could they come back to take care of the those in the next couple days? ****** stated he would be by on Saturday, and would give us a call. As we continued to look around the house, we saw even more places that were missed, and also that the other "joints" around the house were ALL covered and look great, except the area we pointed out to ****** while the crew was here and had asked him to fix. My husband called ****** again to discuss the issues, and ****** informed my husband that in order for them to come back to fix the remaining areas, that we would need to pay an additional $300. We declined and told him that was not what he agreed to, and that the areas in question where areas that were pointed out in the estimate walk through, and were to be fixed at that time. ****** stated he would need to call us back, with still to this date, no resolution, and him wanting more money to fix what was part of the original estimate to be fixed.

    I went and finished the job and got paid. 

    The husband paid me. He said I was done. The wife got home and asked why he paid me and said I wasn't done yet and she wanted me to do more. I told them I'd do more if they paid me more. The contract is signed and says the job is completed and paid in full. She wants me to fix stuff that's not even in the contract. She yelled at me and her husband.
