    On Sunday 12/01/24 my mothers heat shut off from 2:30am -6:30am, It came back on and then started to blow cool air, after a while, shutting off again. I called NCB Mechanical. It was very cold and we couldn't be without heat. A tech came out. he was very polite, he came to the conclusion that it was the thermostat. He also informed me that we needed a new water heater. Hours after he left the very next morning, the heater went into auto shutoff mode again. I called the office to inform them that the issue was not resolved. The person I spoke to said he would ask the tech to call or stop by. This was early in the morning. The entire day went by, and no call, whatsoever. However, they were sure to send me the estimate via email, for a new water heater. I was in a panick thinking of my elderly mom and I having to endure a very cold night, so I called a different plumbing company but of course since I had waited so late in the day, they couldn't come until Tuesday. They were at the house bright and early and actually fixed the issue, which had NOTHING at all to do with the thermostat. Several days later NCB Mechanical had the audacity to email me and text me to see if I wanted to get the new water heater before the New Year, since their rates were going up. I was livid, but I replied to the text message, informing them that I would not be getting a water heater, and how I was treated by their company. I received an apology, which means absolutely nothing, after you left us flat in the middle of a cold front, made up a root cause, and stayed long enough to charge me for an energency plumbing call that you never resolved! I was charged $177.79, not to mention having to pay a different plumber to come out and do what you were hired to do!This was a very expensive lesson.I'm still appalled, disgusted, and feel completely ripped off.
