Carlos D**** is a fantastic person as well as a more than competent technician. Carlos checked the water heater. Reset the garbage disposal and repaired a leak under the sink. Hot water heater went down. TLC was here first thing. Unfortunately, parts had to be ordered. When the parts arrived, TLC was back to install quickly and professionally. TLC always meets all my plumbing needs.TLC Santa Fe, LLC

Excellent response from TLC. Both ****** and ****** were polite and knowledgeable and inspired confidence. Being new to Santa Fe, I have to say, the south has nothing on **********. Y'all are the nicest people I have ever encountered. And Ive been many places, owned homes, and dealt with many service people. The work was done with care. And now I have HOT WATER!!!!! Hooray! In the past month my 89 year old mom has needed a new water heater (preventive maintenance) and a new furnace (emergency need) in her home. Each time TLC has provided expert technicians for each job. Each time the work was completed with a very quick turnaround time. For the water heater, ******************************* provided the options and estimate.******************************* and *********************** arrived on time and went to work two days later. They were very efficient. They were extremely professional. The install was clean and up to code. The work area was immaculate when they left. Both of these professionals were very courteous and respectful to my mother and answered all of her questions. A month later while I was at home in another state the furnace in mom's home died. It's February with freezing temperatures at night. She made the initial call for help to TLC on a Sunday morning. *********************** made the initial call and diagnosed the problem and gave mom some initial options. He was very respectful and professional as well. To make a long story short, and no fault of anyone at TLC's, I needed to get involved two days later. I called **** early on the third day after the furnace died. He immediately jumped into action with his boss **** (HVAC Supervisor - Santa Fe). Within 2 hours they had a plan to get a high quality heating unit that would work at mom's and had scheduled the work for the next day. They did some running around and made a lot of stuff happen quickly. **** and ***** came and completed the install professionally and courteously early the next day. TLC has been doing plumbing, heating, air and other work at mom's house for many years. EVERYONE from TLC has been the best kind of professional you could ask for. Products installed are high quality. Service is exceptional. I can't say enough good about this outfit!! I will call no one else for work in Santa Fe. Thanks again to the folks at TLC!! Be careful when using TLC Plumbingthey are so nice and responsive, did a good job but over-charged me by a LOT! Asked for a materials and labor invoice and was told they only do a blanket invoice. Finally got a handwritten one, and wow! Almost $12k in labor for one plumber and one helper for alleged 50 hours of work!! I own the fact that I should have been more diligent and gotten some more bids. Dont make my mistake! Prior to this job, they were fair on my furnace install ($6k) and did a great job, so my confidence was high. BUT, when a small gas leak was detected, WOWser, made up for it! An additional $17k to pipe an exterior gas line with two drops through the attic (About 30 linear feet). No digging, major cutting or crawling under a house. Labor charges do not correlate with actual presence observed and gas pressure tests were $700 each! I have now found that they run from $75-$150. The staff, techs and managers are so nice, and believable, but guess that is how they win your confidence. Ive no complaints with the work done, they were prompt and clean, but really took advantage of me with egregious hourly charges. Now have to sell the house to try and recoup my loss and hit to my savings. Get multiple estimates, learn from my mistakea few nights in a hotel to allow for proper vetting would have been far less expensive than this experience. Also, read reviews on NextDoor, I wish I had prior to using them, now my experience is among several other complaints.TLC Santa Fe, LLC

Dear *******, I regret that you feel this experience led to feelings of being taken advantage of. It's never our intention to take advantage of anyone. We strive every day to improve our service and serve our customers fairly. I would like to visit with you about this further so that we can make sure that we can all walk away feeling fairly treated.That said, we are upfront about what our rates are, and what the cost to perform the work is. ************** rates are $175.00 per hour, and our apprentice rates are $80 per hour. Both of those rates are well within the competitive range in the Santa Fe area. I can see the quote that you were given, which matches the invoice that we wrote, and that we provided you before we performed the re-pipe. On your project, we performed significantly more work than just a minor re-pipe. We spent more than two days, at your request, attempting to locate and repair leaks before moving forward with the re-pipe. This is labor-intensive work and is the reason why a simple re-pipe is significantly more than it otherwise might have been.Again, I never want anyone to feel as though they are taken advantage of, and I would be happy to speak with you further.
