      I was a member of this club last year. I went back to renew membership this summer and rejoin because we live out of town for six months of the year. We decided it was less expensive for us to rejoin each summer than to pay for six months not using the club.
      We were told that the rules changed this year and that we needed to apply and provide references, which we did.

      My references told me they were called the first week. After 2 weeks I called to find out what was happening with the membership and was told that it was "with management" and that I would hear from them.

      Finally after three weeks, I called and was told that my membership application was declined with no reason given. (They did not call to tell me this, I had to keep calling to find this out. )
      I asked to speak with management to learn why we were declined and was routed to a voicemail for a Karen C*******. I left a voicemail which has not been returned.

      Given that we were members in good standing last summer and had good references, I would like to understand why we were declined.
