    November 5, 2024 Paid: $64.88 I thought I was filling out paperwork for my passport and was charged by this company. I’d like my money back. I tried to get in touch with them but can only send something through their site with no way track it. No follow up email from them or anything.     This company proports they are a US Government Company and necessary to renew US Passport.

    I'm not sure exactly where this came from as I only have a charge for $67.88 on my credit card. I have no email confirmation for this amount or anything. The best I can tell, is this company interjected itself in the process of me filing my passport renewal application with the US Government, unbeknownst to me. I do not recall even giving any credit card info, and I mailed a check with the renewal application that I sent in to the US government, which has been cashed. I did not agree to this charge. I believed I was using a free service from the government for pre-populating the renewal application in a PDF so I could print it off and send it in. I don't need to pay anyone $70 for something like that. It appears that this company is misrepresenting itself to people under the guise of a legitimate government service that is free to the public and then charging them for the service. This is fraudulent and should be stopped.

    The website was extremely misleading and was displayed as an official federal government agency and government identification markings, and the website url ending with .gov

    Simple Sign Filings charged me for the services which are free as per the Social Security Administration. I called the Social Security Office and received a confirmation that I should have never been charged for the services that were provided to me online. I would like to receive my money back. Thank You

    This company represented themselves as a government filing service. There was no disclosure that what they were doing was something that the government offers for free. And the search somehow makes this business pop up instead of the IRS. The company represents itself as EIN Tax Filing instead of the parent company name which makes it clear what they are doing. They have a website that comes up when you try to contact the EIN Tax Filing that only handles complaints which made this feel like a bait and switch. Buyers please be ware.
