Technician called me back about an estimate and said he’d come by to look at the job. It was clear he wasn’t able to do the work needed. I turned down an estimate for work I didn’t need. I started looking for a different plumber. I then received an invoice just for the Phoenix Mechanical technician to come by. He wasted my time and the company is standing firm on the invoice. This is not industry standard. No other local plumber has charged me for an estimate.

    Business Response

    Hello Dear Patron,

I am so sorry to see that our service was not satisfactory. All customers that call us for service are told about our rate of $150 per hour. We also have a policy of crediting back a one hour charge when people ask for estimates and the job is accepted. Our records show that a request was made for work to be done. The request was to run a water line from a meter location to a yard hydrant. The technician that arrived was then asked for an estimate, instead of proceeding with the work requested. At that point an estimate was given on the invoice for a one hour charge. I am very sorry for the miscommunication. Thank you for bringing to our attention that we may need to be even more persistent in making sure our customers are aware of our policies, and that they are not assuming that our polices are the same as anyone else. We look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for your patronage, and thank you for your concern in helping us to be the best company that we can be.

    Respectfully,

    ***** ****
