      On 6/12/2024 I stopped in to set up an appointment for window tinting at Capital tint and customs. I put $200 down to reserve an appointment for later that week. The very next day I had to take my car in to AutoNation ********** in ********* for a repair. Upon diagnosis I was informed of some work necessary to keep the car running. I decided to cancel my appointment with Capital Tint so that I could better address performance rather than cosmetic concerns. When speaking with **** at Capital tint he declined to refund me. I then had this disputed with my bank and it was overturned. I then got a letter a month later stating this matter was unresolved and would be returned. So I had their Executive Team investigate and they said this business provided documents that shows work was done. When I never even came by for the appointment. I have tried to reach out to the owner but he has been unresponsive.

      ********** ******** had left a deposit and set an appointment to have window tinting done at my shop. He then canceled the appointment and requested a refund. At my shop all deposits are non refundable, in most cases like ************ the deposit could be applied towards any service he may want or need from my shop. However this was not acceptable to ************ demands. He then did a chargeback on his credit card and lost the dispute. Now he is complaining to the BBB. We reached out to him multiple times to rectify the situation but his lack of communication and unwillingness to work with our company policies have left us no other choice then to wait for his response.

      I am rejecting this response because:

       

      I do not trust this person or his business. He told me if I decided to cancel he would refund me. Why would I use a $200 credit with someone I dont trust working on my car? He continued trying to update me on a product and I was fine with the original service. Upon needing NECESSARY work done on my car by my dealership I do not intend to EVER use or recommend this companys services. I require my $200 back. Why is it this difficult?

              Capital Tint & Customs stands behind all the work we do and strives to provide the best customer experience possible. Our policies are in place for various reasons that are practical for consumer acknowledgement and professional business acknowledgement. On our invoices it states all deposits are final. We have offered the customer the same job at the same price that he came in for and also full store credit towards any service or items he may want. Either was acceptable for the customer. He then pursued a credit card charge back and lost. The offer still stands and never looses value at my business. Please let me know if you have any questions.
