There are multiple transactions.I was offered a student loan forgiveness option, where I paid $299 fee and payments of $49 would process for the next 10 years to payoff my student loans. A few months down the line they changed to ******. Yearly they will reevaluate the payment amount. Later on I received an e-mail regarding the review. In November I noticed that the payments stopped coming out. I looked online and the Federal Court put a restraining order on them in November, which is why it stopped pulling out. The *** charged them for violating the Impersonation Rule the *** Acts prohibition on deceptive marketing, the Telemarketing Sales Rule and the *****-*****-****** Act, per the release. I submitted on their E3 website to request a refund, but I never heard back. I was scammed for over a thousand dollars and need to be credited back.Initial Complaint

In 2022, I was solicited by email to use this company to help with student loan debt for me, my son and daughter. The representative explained that after the initial fee we would pay a monthly fee that would pay off the loans. They explained that after 10 years of consecutive payments the loans would be forgiven. We all paid the initial fee of $899.00 to enroll in the program and have been paying the monthly service fee. As we all know student loan payments have been very confusing for borrowers during and since the end of Covid. I felt that we were on the right track to get the loans paid off. This company portrays itself as a solution to help you keep your loans on track. I received a statement in the mail from ****** about late charges for one of my loans. I made contact with ****** and they said that one of the loans they were servicing was not part of the other loans they had. I was very surprised that none of the payments made to Alumni Advantaged was ever used to pay any of these loans. I realize that I should have done more research before all three of us signed a contract. I have tried contacting the company by phone and the number is no longer in service. I did sent a cancelation email and letter today. I talked with my bank and they shut off the automatic payments. However, I am concerned that Alumni Advantage will start charging me a $35.00 monthly fee for non-payment and still try to collect the monthly service fee. I am a director of a public library and do research for patrons on a daily basis. This company disguises its business practices very well. Over the past 2 1/2 years I have spent over $6300 trying to pay off these loans. It was all for nothing. They are predators and scammers and need to be stopped before they can do this again.Initial Complaint

Signed up to lower my student debt. I paid them three installments of $300 a month for three months at the beginning and I am now on a $49 a month fee, and have not turned in all documents requested. I am trying to cancel the fee but am unable to reach this business. Not looking to receive the $900, just want the monthly $49 transactions to discontinue. I was told I would be able to cancel at any time.Initial Complaint

A complete scam. I have been with them since 2022 paying $49 to them every month. I just called ****** to inquire if they have received any money from them and the answer was no. Alumni Advantages told me they were sending money to ****** and no money has been sent. Also, no PSLF forms have been sent over either to recertify my status. Stay away from this company.Initial Complaint

I entered an agreeement with Alumni Advantage in efforts to consolidate and repay my student loan debt February of 2023. Over the course of the last year I have discovered the the *** has never been contacted by this company, they have applied $0 towards repayment of my student loan, and I have been unable to get in contact with Alumni Advantage via phone, email, or chat via their website. This is a dangerous and fraudulent company that gains access to federal government student loan records, and bank account information, and preys on individuals seeking help for student loan debt relief.Initial Complaint

I was contacted by Alumni Advantages via mail in September 2022. I assumed it was legit since it was through the mail. I made 3 monthly payments of $299 and from September 6th 2022-January 2024 I made 9 Payments of $49. I had been contacted by my bank saying it is a scam. I dont really care about the money I just want it to be canceled. My bank has blocked the charges but it looks like they change their name frequently and slip through.Initial Complaint

Alumni Advantage takes $49 a month out of my checking account for doing absolutely nothing ! They have been doing this since 11/22. They were supposed to help me lower my loan repayment but they did nothing to help and they continue to charge me They even gave an amount that I would be paying my student loans back these have been all lies! I fully realized this when student loans resumed this past Fall. I have emailed and tried to call to cancel with them several times in the past 3 months but they continue charging me . I just got a notice again this evening that $49 was taken out of my account! I would like to be refunded the $49 for the past 3 months that I have requested for cancellation and I would like to be done with Alunmi Advantage for good !!Initial Complaint

This company fraudulently took money from me pretending to be my student loan consolidation company. They scammed me by pretending to be student loan company and promised loan forgiveness under false pretenses. My student loans were not paid and I was in process of being on default of payment to this federal agency. Because of the hold on student loan payments, I was not aware of this for over a year and half. When payments were set to restart by the government, I was notified by my actual student loan company that payments were not made.Initial Complaint

On March 20,2022 I received a call to consolidate my student loans with an immediate payment of $299.67 and in two weeks another $299.67 payment with $49 monthly payments to follow. I am now in default on my student loans and they are still taking the money from me. There is nothing in the student aid computers showing any payment has been made. My last payment of $49 was taken November 02, 2023. I spent all morning on the phone trying to find out where my money is and not one person in aidvantage (my student loan holder) or federal student aid could tell me. I just want my money back.
