    Im February of 2022 I gave him a deposit of $7,000 for a ls1 build on my car. Weeks and months go by and was promised many times that my vehicle would be finished and the day would come and would be given another date. After a few months they finally took the engine out my car. Then a YEAR+ later of my car sitting in the sun baking, they FINALLY MOVE IT. Only moved it to the front cuz they sold the other half of the building. I went in many times and was told my engine was being worked on and come back to it the day they closed, and my engine was still on the floor. The day they closed I was promised my money the next day and NEVER got it. In the invoice it states job is cancelled and a refund requested, we have 120 days to issue the refund.

    On September 9, 2022 I went to Insane Power for some work on my **** Impala.The owner, *****, and I agreed for work totaling $13,500 to which ***** wanted a deposit of $8,500.I paid the $8,500 deposit in cash and received an invoice. (pic attached)***** agreed the job would take 30 days.I dropped the Impala off on October 5, 2022 for the work to get started.Weeks go by and no work had been completed and no parts were ordered. 0% progress has been made up to this point.On December 27, 2022 I ended up repossessing my own vehicle back from Insane Power because absolutely no work had been done and all I got from ***** was excuses and lies.***** promised to refund my $8,500 deposit but to this day (January 23, 2023) has refunded $0.I am still owed the full refund of $8,500 by ***** at Insane Power.I have a signed letterhead stating he will pay the refund in full by January 17, 2023 (pic attached)

    ******************** is correct about his complaint and we have every intension of returning his deposit.  As stated on his invoice, if a job is cancelled we have 120 days to refund the deposit.  We have no intension of waiting that long to refund his money but we do need time to get our money back from the vendors we ordered parts from.  The vendor will mail us a check and then we will give ******************** his money in full.  WE have no intention of keeping his money.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Insane Power and the owner, *****, did NOT order ANY parts.  I never saw any parts for my vehicle during the multiple visits to Insane Power.

    Also, since ***** likes to hold onto my deposit for 120 days, I would like to note that 120 days from today was September 26, 2022.

    My invoice date was September 9, 2023, so he is 17 days past his own 120 day rule.

    I have a letterhead signed by *****, stating the following "Insane Power agrees that they owe $8,500 for a complete refund to ******************************* in cash for Invoice ****. We will promise to pay this refund by the January 17, 2023."      Signed by ****************************

    I attached another photo of this agreement. 

    I would like to have ***** and Insane Power uphold their end of the agreement and refund my $8,500.

    Car delivered to Insane Power on May 11, 2021..Amount deposited to inspect engine and determine If It was good or not was $1,500..To provide quality work and live uo to what they promise consumers (customers).The nature of the dispute Is the lack of communication about my vehicle, A timely manner In which It was to be finished as well as parts( Catalytic converter) being stolen off my vehicle.The place Is very unprofessional in opinion and the opinion in the reviews as well. They have did A terrible job at resolving any issue I've had.This Is why I put It In your hands who has the authority to make auto repair shops adhere to what they promised customers..I appreciate any and everything you all can do to help me resolve this matter.Also to help others not have to go through what I did.. Thank you.

    I am not sure what the complaint here is.  Is the customer complaining about lack of communication?  I'm not sure what the customer feels is not enough communication.  Could we get a more detailed complaint.  Being unprofessional is not something I can comment on if I don't know what was said or done.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    They should not have my car over A year and think the customer Is ok with that. As far as communication there has been non on there part on me calling and asking how long ,whats next,etc,etc,...They are the one with excuses and situations to halt them for the progress of my car...There issues have nothing to do with me and my car..

    Please help with assistance iN getting my vehicle done and back to me as stated...This would have suckes If It was my only vehicle to get around in...Image the cost  of travel *************** for work and other business if that was the case..Thank you

    Due to the virus, there is a supply chain problem getting parts of all kinds.  Parts that took 6-8 weeks are now taking several months.  We have no control over this.  We do not want to take this long, we don't make any money having a car sit this long because we can't get paid until it is finished.  There isn't a auto repair shop that is not feeling this.  The BBB can't make it change either.  If you feel this is unprofessional, I am sorry.  We are trying everything we can we speed things up, but some things are not up to us.  We apologize for taking this long and hope to get your vehicle as quickly as we can.

    Insane power required a 700 dollar deposit to schedule an appointment which would go towards the repair cost. Dropped of my car on June 28th because of an overheating issue. They told me they needed to order upgraded radiator fans and it would be another 550 dollars and i would have to pay them immediately. I Paid and waited a month. I kept calling and they kept giving me excuses of why they did not order the parts. Finally I asked for a refund for the the parts. They have been giving excuse after excuse of why they haver not returned the money for the parts. They state they do not have the money in their account. Horrible service. I just want them to refund my money for the parts that they never provider.
