  On 1/25/25 at approximately 16:42 a salesperson by the name of **** ignored 3 separate NO SOLICITING signs and chose to knock on my door attempting to sell meat. I have those signs for a reason and they are not meant as suggestion. Plus the fact that I will buy absolutely ZERO from a door to door solicitor.The neighborhood that these individuals were in was the ****************************** which is Gated with a code and the entire subdivision is private property within the city of *************** and no soliciting is allowed. The ring footage from this event as well as cell phone photos, vehicle, plate and physical description of the Male salesmen and Female driver have been forwarded to the North **************** Department.Per the City of *************** Municipal Code:5.48.160 - Calling at residence posted "no peddlers."It is unlawful for any solicitor or canvasser selling or pretending to sell, or offering for sale, or demonstrating goods, wares, or merchandise of any kind or character, or any article, material or substance, to ring the bell, or knock on the door of any residence, dwelling flat, or apartment whereon a sign bearing the words "no peddlers," or other words of similar import is painted or affixed or exposed to public view, or to attempt to gain admittance thereto; provided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply to any solicitor or canvasser who knocks at any door or rings any bell at the invitation or with the consent of some member of the household at which he so applies for admission.5.48.170 - ViolationPenalty.Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine less than three hundred dollars ($300.00), or by imprisonment in the city jail not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

  As to this complaint, we have taken action with the driver, and he has received disciplinary action for this offense. Additionally, The Butcher's Choice has implemented additional training to the route salespeople as to the law regarding soliciting where there is a No Soliciting sign posted. I have spoken with the complainant previous to the complaint made to the BBB and told him that we would take corrective action. We are an online company, and it is common to see our vehicles in communities that have No Soliciting signs. We do apologize for the inconvenience and will continue to work on being respectful to the communities we deliver in.
