We had a major renovation done at our house beginning of 2022, including the roof replacement which my General Contractor sub contract with ***** Roofing.
I recently found out the they did a modification on our roof without our approval.
I was not aware that the roof opening at the utility room was completely close with no access for the service needed for our private well.
    I contacted Phil
***** through email and informed the issue. It was disclosed to me that the roof should still be cover by the warranty and it will be an easy fix. Project manager Adrian of Acquired design sent me an email stating “no one knew that the roof opening was for the private well service”
I contacted Rhino roofing to request to restore back the opening. First it was disclosed that there was no opening at all, however I have photos of before the renovation.
We needed that roof opening immediately for water well service company to fix the water emergency issues at our house.
We waited 6 business days for Rhino roofing to restore the opening. We had to stay with family members for 10 days for a reason that we didn’t have any clean water.
The bill was sent to us for the service provided by Rhino roofing of restoring the roof opening . I was informed that if it’s not paid immediately, a lien will be put in our property. I made the payment of $700+ , two days after the service. They said that the service is for the installation of skylight which we purchased the skylight as instructed to us to help and seal so water/weather could not get through opening.
It’s very frustrating that no one takes ownership of the mistakes that happened during the renovation. It was obviously overlooked and could have been avoided by communicating properly to all parties.
