      I had this company to fix my dishwasher. We were getting water left in the bottom of the dish washer. The first tech came to our home January 31. He opened the door of the dish washer ran it for a short time and told my wife we needed a new pump. He wrote and estimate including price off 400 dollars. The pump was 225 dollars. We had to pay half up front and he needed to order the pump. They cam back February 4th and installed the new pump. After running the dishwasher that night the *** problem existed. I called them that night and they sad they would be back the next morning. The tech refused to put the original pump back in claiming it didnt work. I had it tested and it works just fine. They finally found a small piece of glass in the drain system that was preventing the water from coming out all the way. I have asked them to reimburse me for the pump because we didnt need it. They refuse. If the checked the pump before replacing it none of this would happened. I have recently found out they dont have this business registered in ************ and are running it out of their house in a residential area. Please help I and a disabled man and live os my Social Security. Thank you for your time. ****** ********

      Mint Appliances and HVAC was engaged to diagnose and repair a malfunctioning dishwasher that exhibited drainage issues. Upon inspection, our technician identified an insufficient drain function and determined that the drain pump was not operating effectively. As a necessary corrective action, we replaced the drain pump. Following the replacement, our technician conducted a full operational test, and the dishwasher functioned properly, confirming that the issue had been resolved at that time.

      However, a few days later, the customer reported that the drainage issue had reoccurred. Under our warranty obligations, we promptly returned at no additional cost to conduct a secondary diagnosis. During this follow-up inspection, our technician discovered a separate issuea piece of broken glass was lodged in the drain line, obstructing proper drainage. Our technician removed the drain line, cleared the obstruction, and restored full functionality to the dishwasher.

      The customer then expressed dissatisfaction, claiming that the initial drain pump replacement was unnecessary and requested a full refund for the service. We respectfully disagree with this assumption. The original drain pump may have been compromised due to prior damage, such as a locked rotor, a damaged impeller caused by a foreign object, or an internal electrical fault (e.g., short or open windings in the motor coil). In many cases, such failures are not visibly evident but still affect performance. The fact that the dishwasher initially worked fine after the pump replacement supports our assessment that the repair was justified.

      Despite our position, we made a good-faith effort to resolve the customers concerns amicably. We offered a partial refund, including a full reimbursement of the service call fee ($69.00) and half of the labor fee ($75.00 out of $150.00). This resulted in a significantly discounted service for the customer, who now has a fully operational dishwasher. Given the services rendered, the efforts made to address the issue, and the partial refund provided, we believe we have acted fairly and professionally.

      To further substantiate our resolution, we have attached a screenshot confirming the customers agreement to this discussion, demonstrating that they acknowledged and accepted the refund terms. Given this documented agreement, we see no reasonable basis for further dispute.
