In July of 2024, I bought a 76 Dodge pickup to rebuild. My husband went to see the owner of Carburetors Only because they had 4 good reviews. He told him I wanted a new carburetor put in the truck. The owner showed my husband the carburetor that would be going in my truck. The new one was $400.00 or if I wanted mine rebuilt, it was $600.00. He again told him I wanted a new carburetor put in the truck. We took it in on Saturday, August I wanted a new carburetor. and my old carburetor back. I got a call about 5 days later and he told me it would be $600.00. They had rebuilt mine. The son said I had told them to rebuild my carburetor. He said he didn't hear me, even though my husband said "that's the carburetor that's going in your truck." The son says "it's not that exact one, but it looks just like it."We got it home and it wouldn't start so we bought an expensive battery and put it in. NOTHING We did this 7 times. Each time they'd tell us she ran great, get her home and she wouldn't start. The owner called on October 16 and told my husband they didn't fix it so they had just just "primed" it to get it started each time. They never bothered to look at it.We told them we were getting a diagnostic done.I took it to AA Auto repair on 10/26 and the diagnostic said that the "carburetor needed to be replaced." They were skeptical that it had been rebuilt recently at all and said it was probably pitted and no good. They lied and stole from me and tried to make it look like I didn't know what I was doing, because I'm a woman. They didn't do anything to fix the ********** was never going to start., and we are down to one car. Thank you for your help.******** *******
