We pay this RV resort over $1000 a month. We follow the rules, we do everything necessary to try and abide by the rules in the park. My wife and children have been continuously Harassed by the parks head of security, as well as maintenance employees. We received a letter saying that we are evicted and to leave in 48 hours. My wife had a meeting with the ** where she was told that their reason for eviction was we are exercising our right to refuse service. She was told that they would work with her last week, but today she got a call from the front office, saying you need to vacate immediately. It feels as though we have been singled out and are being forced out for no reason and it doesnt seem legal to do to a family of monthly tenants that have lived there for over 5 months. We have been getting harassed for things that other tenants do as well ( our kids riding bikes without helmets, walking around the park without supervision) and these situations have since been rectified. After talking to other monthly tenants, it seems we are the only ones getting forced out.

    Business Response

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort (Oasisor the Resort) has developed rules for the safety of all guests who stay at the resort.  Among other things, these rules place restrictions on pets in the park and also require that children remain under an adults supervision at all times.  The **** family agreed to these rules when they began staying at the Resort.

In December 2021, the Nashs dog attacked the dogs of another guest in the Resort resulting in animal control coming to the Resort.  Nashs animal was determined to be a dangerous animal.  The Resort understands that the Nashs did not keep the dog and informed the Resort that they wanted to stay and would euthanize the dog. They did not provide the complete records on this matter for three weeks and the records did not match their initial representations.

During this same time period (in January and February 2023), the Resort received complaints about children going to different parts of the Resort without supervision.  There were complaints from drivers that the children were darting in and out of the road making it difficult for drivers to see them.  They were identified in different parts of the park without adult supervision.  The Resort was able to identify several of the children as belonging to the Nashs.  The Resort provided a final warning of the violations concerning the Nashs children to them.  The Resort also identified other guests and gave them similar warnings concerning their children.  After receiving this final warning, the Nashs children were still repeatedly identified in different locations in the Resort without adult supervision.  In addition to continually being in locations in the Resort without supervisions, the children were in violation of several Resort rules including rules concerning wearing safety helmets and equipment.  The children were congregating with other kids who were unsupervised, using inappropriate language and causing other problems.

On or about March 24, 2023, the Resort personnel had a meeting with ************* and informed her that they were exercising their right to terminate services to the Nashs.  They were told that they would work with them in leaving the Resort but told them that they would have until March 31, 2023 (the end of the month) to vacate.  As of March 29, 2023, the Resort was still having problems with the Nashs following the rules and abiding by the guidelines concerning supervision of children, and the Resort did issue the Nashs a notice informing that they needed to vacate the Resort within 48-hours.  Copies of these notices along with other documentation concerning the complaints, video from surveillance cameras, and other evidence are included with this response.

The Nashs only paid for the time they were in the Resort and were reimbursed any moneys paid for time that they were no longer allowed to be at the Resort.  Despite being aware of the rules and receiving warnings requesting that they rectify the issues with providing proper supervision to their children, the violations were not rectified.

The Resort was hopeful that they would reach a resolution and that the Nashs would begin go comply with the rules and regulations they received.  However, that did not happen. The children continued to be in violation of the rules.  The Resort was therefore required to insist on them leaving the Resort.

The situation here is unfortunate but could have been avoided if the Nashs were willing to comply with the rules and regulations.  They were given notice several times and given opportunity to comply.
