      On 12-3-24 I purchased a $50 gift card for my grandson to use at Gymboree for **************************** I am being told this gift card cannot be used for that - can only be used for products. There was no mention of this on the gift card page (**********************************************************), in the shopping cart or at checkout. This was only discovered when my daughter was told by the ********* ********* location. On 12-31-24 I contacted Gymboree by phone. I spoke with an agent, a supervisor and a manager. The manager said he would send an email (attached) stating it can be used at that location. The email was received but says nothing about *************************** classes so is basically useless per the location. I then contacted Gymboree by their website email & received a reply (attached) telling me to call in. That seems pointless, I would be calling the same number that refused to help.I find this to be deceptive at a minimum, if not outright fraudulent. I am requesting my money back, but would also be happy with either a replacement gift card or a written letter/email stating expressly that the ********* ***************************** location will accept the existing card. Basically I'm getting the independent franchise argument. If that is the case this should be clearly stated on the website, not totally ignored or buried in pages of legalese.Lastly, the location I selected is the location where my grandson goes for **************************** I believe corporate headquarters is *******************, ************************************, but there was no option for this & the company clearly makes it very difficult to find that info.
