I had a problem with my printer in April 2022 and looked for help online. I contacted what I thought was Hewlett Packard, but instead it was Cure and Secure. They said they were authorized service providers for Hewlett Packard, which I'm now pretty sure is false. I gave them access to my computer (big mistake!) and they showed me a bunch of files which he said showed my computer was infected and being taken over for ransom. They offered me a one-time fix, a one year warranty, or a lifetime warranty. I can't believe that I took the lifetime warranty. They fixed the problem. A couple of days ago, August 2022 they called. I had no issues with my computer. They said that software they had installed told them that someone was trying to hack into my computer. They wanted $3000 to fix it!!! I told them I would not pay, because I already paid them for a lifetime warranty. Then they said they'd just fix it. They did a ping with 8.8.8.8, for what? They ran Microsoft Malware scan, but it completed only about 10% of the work, and they stopped it. They ran Adware Removal Tool by TSA, to completion. Neither scan showed anything wrong. Then they said they were done. They didn't do ANYTHING, and were just trying to extort $3000 from me. Now I feel I need to have my computer checked for any malware they might have installed.

RUN!!! DON"T WALK from this company and its aliases: **** Distribution, Inc., *************, LLC and Printers, Inc.

A Google search for HP Support in getting our computer to recognize a new printer came up with the **** Distribution name and by the time we were done, we had bought a $1,199 one time subscription for tech help with no further payments.

Three months later we were called saying our computer had been hacked, though the callers were ************* LLC and by the end of that session we had been talked into buying an upgraded subscription for internet security for $4,184. (We connected the companies because the email address from the billing department was ****************inc. and the ************* LLC contract said we were being serviced by Cure and Secure LLC.)

We began reading reviews of them on this website and when we tried to cancel, we found that there is no functioning website to even read the cancellation policies referred to in the contract, nor did the 800 number work.

This is a racket. I hope that this review will prevent someone else from getting duped by these people.
