This website is a scam! They say you can sign up for a one time use account for seven days for $1.99, then they charge you without notice a week later that you'll be charged $49.99 for a one year subscription a week later! I disputed the transaction with my payment processor & they wouldn't give me a refund, claiming the company did nothing wrong! I emailed the company and they won't issue a refund either. I read reviews too late that they scam people this way all the time and that people who've used their credit cards with this company's website suddenly have unauthorized charges appear on their accounts! Do not use their service! Very dishonest and definitely not customer service friendly

Shady unethical company. You use their business for a $.99 purchase and you are unknowingly billed a service fee of $49.99 that you are completely unaware of. They will not refund your money for their dishonest way of scamming you out of a monthly service fee that you are completely unaware of. This company should be shut down permanently. They are fraudulent. Don’t ever use them.

This company has a predatory trial period with automatic enrollment and credit card charge. They will not return contact in a timely manner unless pestered and will not cancel and pro-rate their service. The company has a spiel ready about "non-fraudulent behaviors" - so you know this happens often and is a part of their business plan. SHADY

I cannot give them any stars. This organization is a fraud making it impossible to cancel as they don't answer emails nor do they answer their phone number in customer service. PDFguru was the first one that popped up on the internet and I needed a form filled out and printed for a 99 cent trial. What they didn't say was that in the fine print they are going to bill your credit card $49.95 a month unless you cancel within the two week trial period. But then they make it impossible to cancel as I have been trying for the past 24 hours. DO NOT USE PDFGURU. THEY ARE BASED OUT OF CYPRESS. ZERO STARS!!

I needed one document changed into a different file type and it seemed that this site could do that for me. I paid $0.99 for the one document, which didn't work and then found out I had signed up for an automatic payment, which I thought I was careful to avoid. But alas, I got a bill for $49.99 which they would not refund. They did stop the automatic payments. I have complained to PayPal but have no refund for a $49.99 payment that I will NEVER use. I should have looked them up before trying to use them.

I canceled my "Free Trial" since then they have continued to charge my credit card even though I have contacted them 3 times now with the cancellation date. Today, I had to call my bank to get a final credit and make sure they no longer charge my card.

Agree with the below! I was unaware of the high monthly subscription and was charged for three months with no usage. I had no idea I even had the service and already use PDFfiller. They will not refund my money. Stefanie ********

I rate this business "1". A complete "Bait and Switch". On Nov 15th I paid $1.99 for a 7-day trial subscription. In small print on their website, I read I could "cancel anytime before" that, otherwise subscription becomes active and I would be charged a monthly fee of $49.99. On Nov 21st, I sent an email informing them of my intent to cancel. Their response to me was that my subscription was not active, so there was nothing to do on their end. I emailed them back and was told via email from Caleb that they needed more information to find my account. They didn't even see my trial subscription payment. I sent them another email adding notification from my bank of an attempt to collect a fee of $49.99. (My bank blocked it as fraud). Someone named Tiana responded this time & promised to look into my claims. That was before Thanksgiving. I tried calling, but they email only. So I left a message. This time Katherine responded with a nicer tone. Emphasized with my needs further explaining they were having trouble finding my account, please send more information: first six #'s & last four of my card used, any emails used, transaction ID #. Tiana had asked as well, but just sent last four #'s of card and email, telling her that I was unconformable with this & could they find it with just the info given, & to let me know if absolutely needed, I would provide. After not hearing anything for a few days, & contacting them via phone & email, and getting contacted yet again with Katherine did I finally consider granting their request for all information asked for in an effort to resolve this & included that I have blocked them at the bank until this is resolved. It's now been an official 3 additional days since hearing anything back from Katherine on Dec 2, 2024. I am frustrated. I just want them to stop attempting to collect this fee and honor my initial intention to cancel the trial subscription which was initiated on Nov 21, 2024.

Definitely a bait and switch, I had the same experience as other reviews, purchased a one time usage for $1, this unknowingly automatically coverts to a $49.99/month recurring charge on your card which I did not authorize. Shame on me, that this was back in august, and it took me 4 months to realize that I had been charged for a total of $200 over that period.

Exactly the same experience as the review before me, with only a slight difference in price. The advertised service was: $7.99 for one week access. Nowhere visible was it stated "$7.99 for one week TRIAL and then charged $49.99 a month if not cancelled." I'm familiar with companies offering terms like that and that's not what was advertised here. Just "$7.99 for one week access." I only needed to use this for one document, so I thought sure, worth it. Then I see a charge for $49.99 a week later. When I brought up this issue with the company, explaining that these terms were not listed clearly anywhere and requesting a refund, they cancelled the service and did not agree to a refund. No one is paying $49.99 a month to merge PDFs so they're obviously banking on tricking people and making at least $42 extra on each unwitting customer (or more if you don't notice the charges right away). Dishonest and disappointing.
