I purchased a slide from this company on March 29th with the expected wait time of ***** weeks. When I received the slide, they shipped me the wrong one. It took several emails to get them to respond to me for me to be able to ship it back for them to paint. They received the slide and didn't update me on any of the process. They shipped it back to me without letting me know. We happened to have been home to sign for it. This time, they did not ship any of the paperwork or parts that went with it. The paint job was rushed as there was missing paint on a few spots. We asked to ship it back due to the issues we saw but they told us we needed to break it in. When I tried to break in the slide, there was so much more damage done due to the slide. I have since asked, multiple times, if I can send the slide back for a refund to which I don't get any response. They said they sent an rma to return it but nothing was in the email. They are dragging their feet on refunding me. The slide was improperly machined and isn't fixable.

We were corresponding with ****** and **** separately.  We were receiving conflicting statements.  **** stated that he sanded or an area and the slide ran fine.  This is the *** that was sent to them.  They did admit to using inappropriate ammunition for the firearm slide that they

purchased.  I don't know who told them to break it in before returning to us.  Our products are guaranteed for a lifetime.  We build to the highest tolerance possible.  It is a precision tool.

The slide does need a break in period.  Everything is tested prior to leaving the shop.  When a slide is fired on a firearm it will result in wear on the coating.  It is nearly impossible to avoid this.

Simply return the slide we will test it.  We have asked that the frame be returned with the slide to check for fit and function.  Send it ***** 2 day to insure tracking.  Upon determining the state of the slide, we will fix or replace it.  If there is an issue that requires rebuilding it can take up to eight weeks to return it.

    Regards,

I am rejecting this response because: the company was speaking to me, not ****. I told ****** that one out of the several issues was fixed. The messages were then forwarded to the gunsmith, *****. I sent them a picture of the aluminum alloy round, that was only loaded into the gun, to get a better picture of the damage that was being caused. Once they received the picture, ***** told me that firing that type of ammunition would void my warranty. He also stated that the damage done was "normal" because the gun needs to be broken in. I have asked several times for me to be able to return the slide and get my money back as it is not worth $1500. The gun is not breaking in and we refuse to use it as to not cause any more damage. ****** or ***** won't address anything else except that they will "check the slide out to make sure we didn't void the warranty" which again, we never received any paperwork with the slide. The picture that I sent of the round still had the lead in it so how would I have voided anything? Again, I don't want the slide worked on or fixed, I would just like my money back.

    Sincerely,

ONCE AGAIN.  ***** DID INDEED COMMUNICATE WITH ****.  WE ACTUALLY STARTED TWO FILES.  ONCE MORE THE *** IS ATTACHED.  RETURN THE SLIDE TO US.  IT DOES CARRY A LIFETIME WARRANTY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MISUSE.  ALUMINUM AMMUNITION CAN GALL THE INSIDE OF THE BARREL.  IT CAN USUALLY BE FIXED BY THE GUNSMITH.  PLEASE RETURN IT TO ** AND WE WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE.  THERE IS ACTUALLY NO NEED FOR THIS.  IT IS VERY SIMPLE.  THE SLIDE ARE FULLY TESTED PRIOR TO SHIPPING.  HOWEVER, THEY ARE NOT BROKEN IN.  THIS COMES WITH TIME.
